Shad how has it been in 7A for you? I am in 7A as well and man it has been slow slow slow. Deer sightings are not good at all.

It has been awful this year. Last deer I saw from the stand was on October 23rd. A lot of night time pics but that's it. The property owner saw 8 does opening morning and a neighbor missed a big 8 on thanksgiving.

Switched it up today hunted state land and had the same results a big fat goose egg. Lots of sign and some beautiful land but the way the deer have been being pushed over there you just gotta be lucky too see something.

Sat in 3s this afternoon from 2:30 to dark.  One tree rat.  No deer.  Sure would like to get a shot at a coyote if Im not gonna shoot any deer.  Beautiful afternoon but no action unfortunately.

Well it's been a long season to say the least but I finally got it done.

Sat until quitting time. One doe with her two fawns about 400 yards away. Watching 50 acre side hill of golden rod from a position I can see straight into the stuff. A typical year I would see anywhere from a dozen to twenty or more deer crossing the fields. Something's up, or I guess better put, down.

Snuck out of work early to hunt from 2:30 to sunset... nada... again. Last live deer I saw while in the stand was opening day... unbelievable.

9H 41/real feel of 32/13 mph SE wind. Looks they waived the rain in the forecast but camo umbrella just in case. Gut pile #1 is gonesville from Wednesday. Almost hit a big doe blocks from the house. In search of another flat top today. Enjoy the morning everyone. ML got put in the safe. 870 and Lightfields today.

Nice sit yesterday in the thick of it. Five fawns before sunset. All the adults, thrashing in the cover waited till darkness to show. Watching this next weather front moving in. Be out a few hours before, as deer should be on their feet.
