Honestly not sure...I think you need a bh209 specific breech plug...I shoot 100 grain777 with Shockwave 350 (ibelieve) and it shoot quite nice by far my go to in the safe

I love my CVA ,sometimes I take it out instead of the browning. The only difference is i can see in the breech plugs with mine for black horn is a counter bore on the powder side which reduces the length of the flame channel. If you know any machinists (and I'm pretty sure you do:good:)  it could be done . I wasn't sure on the added breech pressure for that gun.

Interesting......what do you gain from the bh?

And I'm running a 5 axis cnc mill at this very moment lol

Decisions, decisions-I have 4 rifles ready to go-Browning A-bolt in .30-06 and .243, a Remington 7in 7mm-08, and a Savage 14 in .250 Savage. Between NY and PA at least once-I'll decide Friday night which one will get the first day honors!

Will

We'll for me personally, I tried using those white hot pellets at first ,after 3 shots I had to push a brush just to get the bullet to the bottom. Super dirty which also led to inconsistent shots . With the BH ,it is super clean ,I push a brush every 6 shots just because ,I've noticed it to be very clean and consistant. But honestly I only used one kind of pellet before making the switch.

New hunter to NY here. Found some public land to hunt, it’s a WMA. I wish I read the regs more thoroughly because I threw up a ladder stand yesterday and today when I was re-reading them, I saw you can’t put temporary stands on WMAs, only on state forests and other such state land. I honestly didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to, I even put my name and license # on the stand. I was going to go take it down tomorrow but it’s an hour drive so I wanted to ask, what do DEC officers do if they find a ladderstand like mine on a WMA? Is this an automatic fine or whatever? Will they just call me and tell me to come get it? Confiscate? How often do officers go through areas like WMAs and check for stands? Any info would be helpful. I’ll still probably go take it down tomorrow, although I have seen other stands up on the WMA, I just prefer to stay on the right side of the law myself. Thanks!

Looking to sell my Gen 1 Ruger PRS in .308
Unfortunately, I've only brought it to the range one time before so it's barely used.
Rifle is all stock besides the addition of the muzzle break.
I want to upgrade my bow, and don't have the chance to shoot this as much as I like.
      Rifle w/ scope : $1300
      Rifle w/out scope: $900
      FFL transaction required.
You can contact me at [email protected] with any questions or more pics.

Email that came last night from our friend and staunch promoter of dove hunting in New York State, Mike Rossi:
"On January 3rd Senator O'Mara introduced a Senate version of the dove bill, S07202. It was also co-sponsored by Senator Seward and Senator Ranzenhofer.
In the next week or two be sure to call Governor Cuomo's office and ask him to take executive action on this bill during this year's budget.
If the governor does not take executive action then it's going to be very important for the next 6 months, up until early June, if necessary, that everybody calls every member of the legislature multiple times. We basically have until June to get this done.
I asked that Fred Neff verifies this, but I'm pretty sure that this is the first time in New York's history that there was a dove Bill sponsored in both Chambers? "
How about this, all you bird dog owners here in NY just might get a dove hunting season yet.  I'll have to rethink my position on getting another lab if this happens!!  (it'll be a yellow though as I think they can take the heat better than a black!)
