rob-c
Wife and are going to remodel our kitchen this winter and hopefully the bath and laundry room also, kitchen definitely. I want to get that done so I can do my spring project of clearing more lanes, putting up at least 5 more ladder stands moving 3 and setting up 5 trail cameras this year on our lease. So what's everyone working on?
Salmon_Run
First there is the realization that hunting season is actually over, then the general sadness creeps in, then a mild case of malaise and self pity, closely followed by a lingering sense of loss and depression...... Then hopefully ice season, working on my health this coming year or maybe a purchase of a gun; that always breaks the spell. Hope for a healthy and happy holiday !!!

dbHunterNY
family time and the holidays. hunting related though it's never over for me and nothing to do with my hunting. in the spring a group i'm part of will host an educational field day to teach habitat improvement related to deer and other stuff like trapping for predator management. also going over plans working with foresters and land specialists to come in and offer services to the community where the QDM co-op i help run is located. also there's some pro-hunting legistlative stuff to tend to that runs through the summer. youth involved turkey season is around the corner. aside from that stuff it's silly stuff for myself. relocate a couple trail cams to keep them running and get confirmation a few bucks lived. clean guns. wash and store away some gear. indoor pistol competitions are going on now. have one this evening to go to. shooting and hunting you can say consumes portions of my life throughout the year. sometimes it gets difficult to work it all in.

I had planned on tomorrow as well but day old snow confirms my fears: The public land is totally, thoroughly dead. I went to the best parts of the section and I can't find jack squat, but tons of tracks leading off into private, so I'm throwing in the towel now. As for post-season I need to retile our master bath, so I plan on starting that this christmas break.
Elmo
I'll continue to hunt what ever legal game is available until mid March.
Uncle Nicky
I do tax returns to pay for my hunting & fishing addiction, that should keep me occupied from mid-January to mid-April. Also planning trips for next year. Deer season in my section of PA is open until late January, so is fall turkey in VA, if the weather cooperates (ie. WARM) I may get out a few times before it's all over.

Five Seasons
I don't hunt anything until Turkey, but enjoy scouting/hiking when there's a thaw in January and February. For the foreseeable future I'm going to enjoy sleeping in again and getting a long list of things I've been putting off done lol.
Zem18
Rabbit and bird hunting for sure and maybe some ice fishing. Haven't had good ice the past few years and I miss going out even though I am not serious about it. Never caught a fish through the ice so looking for my first. fasteddie
Maybe I will get off my lazy butt and do some reloading for my son . He wants to shoot his 44 mag more for practice . I don't like reloading the 44 mags as the bullets aren't tapered at the bottom like others ahd I have ruined a couple cases . Gotta get out and do some walking also . I find that it gets the metabolism going and helps burn up some calories .

Been to Punta Cana too, we moved slow on renewing our passports , so are staying in the motherland . DR is way cheaper then Key West, but everyone I know who have been , and I know a few who've gone for 20 plus years, love it . Need to scout some places to spend our winters in the very near future as well, won't be Key West as its 500k for a small house that needs to,be torn down . the shed above looks better ..... grampy
Starting next week my grandson and I will be doing some small game hunting and coyote hunting. Hoping for some hard clear ice for ice fishing. And some snow pack for snow shoeing. Also before long, we will do our post season deer scouting for ideas on where to re-position stands for next year. Will also be gearing up and patterning a shotgun for grandson's first turkey hunt! Lots to do in the winter months to keep active and outside!
