The stand I was in is in a travel corridor between feeding and bedding. It only offers 20yd shots. Chipshots only for me when it's raining. Plus it's only 350yds from the house.

I was in a small corridor myself. However the rain held out until almost 5. Then the wind picked up and it really started to come down. That's when I decided to call it. If the wind hadn't picked up, I would've stayed. I did see 4 does and one small buck. On my way home, there were deer everywhere, even with the heavy rain.

What an amazing Colorado hunting trip this year. There are 8 of us in our group and we harvested 8 deer. I was the only one to see an elk. He was 500 yards from me so we just watched each other for a couple minutes before he walked into the scrub oak and disappeared. But I got my first muley. The first doe picture is a hybrid half whitetail half muley very cool. I will post more pics when I downloaded pics off my camera.

My bro braved the rain this evening and has a doe acting hinky around him then 30 minutes later had a nice buck hot on her trail. He couldn't stop the buck or call him off her trail.
I put the boat up and got groceries and stayed relatively dry! I'll be out as soon as this breaks and the wind allows.
