No my buddy and I told him we’d get the antlers for him but he was so torn that it went to waste he said he didn’t want them. He’s more a meat hunter than bone hunter

I don't know who started the conversation about bacon wrapped back straps, but that's all I've been able to think about this week.

It turned out great. Just pulled it out of the oven. My kids loved it.

Back in for the evening in 8y . Been in for 45 minutes . Made the walk in in shorts and a  tshirt.  Had a button and doe fawn sneak through. While I was getting dressed. Just after I got settled I had a 4pt  work a scrape at 40 yds. The squirrel  brigade  is out in full force.

Borrowed a friends crossbow for the day. A little easier to use this than the compound with the boys in here

Low flying helicopter and cops with dogs now coming into my field. I’m scared to get down with these dogs. I will keep you posted on what’s going on.

Had a really nice 8 with good mass at 40 this morning , little long a poke for my liking , he then got to 30 in this mess of trees so opted out, grunted at him and he had no reaction.  Back at it local for the evening watch. It feels very deery up here in my climber.

Congrats to all those the filled tags alot of nice ones fell.  

Only had 4 turkeys but sat only 2 hrs wifes bday weekend so no hunting until monday morning.

Alrighty.... the police are looking for the guy who owns the property next to me because he said he is going to kill himself and took off in the woods with a shotgun. Who knows maybe they will push something to me. Never a dull moment in east Otto.

Well sounds like he is unfortunately a mental weakling that can't take the rigors of life. There go all his guns. The state will deem him mentally incapable of responsible ownership and they are now just a thing of the past for him

Out with my daughter. Her first hunt ever. 10 minutes and a 4 point just past 40 yards. Wouldn’t come closer. 10 minutes later he comes out at 70. Hope more to come. She home from college for the weekend studying while she hunts lol
