Haven’t been hunting since fall of 2013, and my first time since moving to New York. Felt really natural putting the climber on a tree.

4th sit of the season and 4th spot. Stalked a doe on my walk in, only to realize it was a fawn, when it crossed the trail about 20 yds in front of me.

 

Made a mock scrape about 12 yds infront of my stand. Will try to check back later in the month to see what develops.

A flock of about 10 turkeys just walked by at 50 - 70 yds. The 2 at 50 yds were hens, the others I could see well enough to judge, but they looked big to me.

Just had a huge deer...well... Deere in the field in front of me. I asked my farmer friend if I should avoid anywhere today, and he said no, whole place is open. At least I don’t have to worry about getting winded now

Whew, definitely changed the olfactory game for the day.

Jr and I tucked in the ground house for the pm. Already have a pile of deer in the field, hoping one will make it's way to bow range as I'm under strict orders to SEND IT. Flock of turkeys cruised through, poults were very vocal. My son was loving it.
