Yes, you would see your preference points.

I was just in the site buying licenses for me and my kids and it is surely more convenient buying online but I have to say that the site in general is quite lame.  Hasn't improved at all since last year.  I tried to edit my sons height since he grew a good deal from last year but it doesn't allow me to edit even though there is an edit button.  His email is incorrect and isn't allowing me to edited that either.  To top it off my password somehow expired from last year and now they require a 14 freaking character password.  First thing that came to mind was "yourwebsitesucks!!".  That would be easy to remember and has enough characters.  LOL

And yet another dumb question .... Once you purchased your license Online do they Mail it to you or do you have to print it out ?

They mail everything but the fishing license. That you can print out or keep a digital copy on the DEC App.

Interesting, I know it said they don't mail it but perhaps they just end up printing it with the rest of them. Maybe if all you get is fishing they don't mail it out.

OK .... I bought the Licenses online and the Fishing - both Regular and Marine were sent to my Email in PDF Format and I printed them ! Received the DMP's I wanted !

Humm not sure .. I got the paper like you get when u buy at Walmart ..

Their is a section that shows preference points. My wife had 1 and now its at 0 after getting her 7p.

Print a few copies of your fishing license and save a digital copy. If you lose it, it's a pain to get another.

Interesting .... I bought my license yesterday and used a credit card , the online charge was billed by  an outfit in Texas ? Does anything actually stay in New York ?

You'd think so but no, they don't allow that. I finally escalated up the chain and talked to someone who said they do that to stop people from printing multiple copies and handing them out. I asked what prevents someone from doing that when they first receive the PDF and he didn't have an answer.

Anyway, the field officers will accept a digital copy on your phone, so now I carry that as well as a hard copy with a few other copies stashed in various places.

Got mine yesterday... and both DMP's! I Still like going to the sports store to get it.... that way I see it come out and have it in my hands.. now!  lol

I had to put all the hunting licenses and permits in the cart first, then click the menu bar at the top left and click apply for permits (not sure if that was the exact wording or not)

I have tried that the last 3 years but the folks printing the tags at Walmart never have a clue how to do it.  Sooner or later one of them might figure it out, and I will keep trying, otherwise it goes into the collection plate at church.  They never struggle with accepting donations.

I messed up my land owner status online and was denied. I called the Hotline on Tuesday and got it squared away, I hope. We'll see if it arrives. First time I ever had a problem doing it myself online.
