  1. Finally got it started! Choked it and just kept holding it open and adjusting the choke and finally turn over stalled a few times but kept adjusting till it stayed started. I still dont know about pulling the brake and keeping on the throttle for the kids. Reminds me of a manuel Instead of a automatic. Guess well learn as we go. 2 happy boys for Christmas kept them waiting long enough.

  3. If I were homosexual, I would certainly want to be a lesbian, and if I were a dinosaur, I'd be a Lickalottapuss....

  5. I did the driveway a couple hours ago and 6 more inches fell. It's super light for lake effect though. It does taste like walleye Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  6. First duck hunt since October and I got this mallard x black duck hybrid. Got to my spot late because the check in system doesn’t start till 45 min before shooting time, so by the time I got down there, there were two ducks already at the blind. I shot one, but I only loaded one shell so the other one got away. Didn’t see a single duck till I left and went to scour a few small public ponds. 2 were pretty much dried up, but the third had about 8-12 black ducks in them. I could have snuck around and maybe got a shot, but I left my waders at the car so I decided to call it a day. I’ll be back out next week. Probably to this pond I just found. 8. My beautiful wife blessed me with a new Dickinson plantation grade 16 gauge side by side. It has 28 inch barrels...case hardened side plates and a single trigger. Wood is beautiful. Pictures to follow. I am truly blessed to have such a beautiful life partner. Nephew bought me 2 of the new Lucky Duck spinning wing pigeon decoys. We will now be running 6 spin wing decoys along with the other assorted hard bodies....carousel....bouncers...socks..........flock a flicks...etc.

  9. We ended up deciding on filet mignon. Brussels sprouts, garlic mashed potatoes and beer. Oh and a couple glasses of cabaret....holy cow was it good. Considering Christmas dinner usually is a pile of people at my sisters and tons of food and drinks, this was almost (almost) a sensible sized dinner. pan seared then finished in the oven....

  10. Three signed copies to me from Peter Himself!!! Hooked up with a childhood friend this year and we all hunted together for a weekend this year. I didnt know he knew Peter Fiduccia personally but he is good friends. He had these books signed personally for me and shipped to my house! Way back when Peter and Leonard did their first videos on deer rattling we were the first to buy their synthetic horns they produced! Merry Christmas!

  18. I guess if you split it up with a group it’s not bad but I would prefer to buy a smaller parcel and not deal with the headaches. Accommodating everyone’s idea on how to hunt and manage a parcel is not easy.

  21. If you use loose powder you can tailor you’re load to you’re shoulders recoil tolerance . One doesn’t have to shoot 150 or even a 100 grains of powder to get good performance from the ML.

  22. I am tempted to go tonight just for one set. Showing off my favorite hunting rifle: 2A armament 223 Wylde blr-16 carbon with proof 16” carbon fiber bull barrel and Timney trigger set to 1.5lbs. Topped off with pulsar Thermion. And all featureless to drop mags. Had it pinned originally but that sucks for loading and unloading when moving set to set. It flat out shoots better than I can and is so light to carry More than I should have spent but I never seem to regret it when I carry her

  31. I am a 16 gauge junkie. I have 6 Belgian sweet 16s...savage 720 which was my fathers from the 40s....2 grade 7 Citoris....stevens pump which was my fathers first gun in the 30s...and a battle cart side by side. My fondest memory as a child was watching my father load those purple Federals while pheasant hunting. Since then I’ve been a 16 gauge fanatic. I own over 30 12s...20s from Perazzi to Baretta...and everythin between. I always go to the 16.

  33. For those interested, Abebooks online has lots of this type of reading material available and its inexpensive. I have a 1904 from a judge's house I cleaned out and you can find these around $20. Have a complete set of ny hunting buttons too, but from multiple owners. They were worn on the lapel of a coat, precursor to back tag.

  36. We got 34 inches nine days ago here. So I feel your pain, all you guys getting hammered in the lake effect areas. If they made a Subie that could tow my bass boat I'd get one! And I'm no lesbian. But I play one in the movies......

  38. Yikes! Be careful out there man! There is not a fish swimming, that is worth risking your life for!!! I'm the complete opposite. And usually one of the last to venture out on the ice. Once I see sleds and wheelers out there, I figure it "may" be safe enough to hold my fat azz! And then still carry much of the safety equipment you mentioned. I may catch a few less fish by waiting so long to get out there. But I do catch some........year after year after year. Cause I'm still around to do so!

  39. Ya I’ve never paid one dollar to gain hunting access . In NY not going to happen . If I lost my spot, I could jump on nearby spots for free no problem . We’ve turned the corner on an average guy hunting a few weekends , to a rich mans hobby .

  44. I'd rather (if anybody was even THINKING about asking ME) direct my time and funds towards a western hunt for antelope and or mule deer. To shoot a mediocre buck in either state doesn't trip my trigger and neither does holding out for a 120" or bigger buck. Why go out of state when our season is on or heating up? For many years I hunted Pennsylvania for bow, rifle and muzzleloader. IIRC I started in about 1981 with rifle hunting then in about 1985 archery and ML'r also. Of course the ML'r was at the time real black powder and patched round balls out of flintlocks, starting December 26 each year and running a few weeks. The archery started as early as late September and between that early start (back then our season was 10/15) and the late muzzleloader start those were what drew me in. Also of course, the fact that their gun season was centerfire rifle (of course we were shotgun only around here) and a week after out opening day was another drew and huge at that! I quit archer hunting there in the 90's.......but started hunting a special early (approx 3rd week of October) "anything goes" antlerless deer season in the 2000's. My buddy and I would camp out for a few days and give it a whirl, that was a blast. I think this past fall (or was it two falls ago?) my first year NOT hunting there since 1981. Maybe I'll go back some year, I have an open invitation if I decide to go. We'll see........
