  3. Thanks guys. I was seriously considering calling my bow hunting career done. My old Mathews will need a new string and cable again this year. Figured with the bum shoulders, and all, it's not worth putting any more money into it. My hunting parther has a newer Bowtech, and keeps telling me, don't give up, get a newer bow! They have a total different feel than 20 years ago. So I saw this today and it got the wheels turning! First, it's from moog! Same place I got my rifle from! He knows bows, and is aware of my capabilities. I respect his opinion big time, I also consider him a good friend. If he says it will work for me, good enough! Will start shooting right away. Start working on getting my shoulders as good as I can get them to be! And will post pic's for sure. Looks like I'll have to kill a few more deer before calling it quits. Deep down, I don't think I was ever ready to give up bowhunting. With this bow, who knows how long I can go! Thanks so much my friend.

  4. Theres no lift kit on that. A guy at work just bought the same truck brand new, sits just like that. Besides, whats wrong with a lifted truck? If you want to do some mudding or heavy off roading, you need bigger tires. To fit bigger tires, you have to lift it. Personally, I think trucks with little dinky factory tires on them look stupid. Heres mine the day after I lifted it, and then another pic of what it looked like less than 2 weeks later...

  9. Back around 1992 or so, I had a Cavalier that me and a buddy turned into a low-rider. We clamped the springs in the rear and cut the coils in the front. At that point it had ZERO suspension! Ground clearance under the door was 2 inches.... just enough for my neon lights to shine through! That sucker cornered like it was on a rail, but it didn't fair so well if there was a crack in the pavement or once the snow started flying, lol. The sound system was killer though. Like a rolling night club inside, and no room for fat chicks, lol

  10. After tallying up the points, Id like to announce the winners of the 2018 HuntingNY Whitetail Challenger! First place goes to Gencountyzeek with 56 total points! Second place goes to chefhunter86 with 52 points! Both of you, please message myself, landtracdeerhunter and burmjohn with your address info so that we can ship your prizes. Unfortunately, none of the youth that entered the contest submitted entries, so there are no youth division winners. I will be opening up a separate youth only contest in the next week or so, and we will use some of the prizes for that. The rest will be saved for the youth spring turkey contest. The Hero Shot winner will be announced soon. I will be having my son Evan look through all of the pictures submitted, and he will choose the best one. Unfortunately, he wont be with me till next Tuesday, so youll have to wait lol. Congrats to the winners and a big thanks to everyone that entered, as well as landtracdeerhunter for handling all of the prize packages and other help in running the contest. A special thanks goes out to everyone that donated prizes for the contest. Without you guys and gals, we couldnt have done this!

  14. I have noticed this everytime it has shutdown. I always said we should just get rid of everyone that is shutdown. We obviously don't need them.

  15. I’m on a little creek close to home where there were a lot of birds last year late. I’m pretty sure that was because it was the only open water but had to find out. All I put out was one black duck and a mojo. I’ll be at my desk by 8:30 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  23. it may look weird but it probably is for a very specific reason and he might be the type of person to not care what others think about his truck.

  24. By the way, after your first mallard dumps in youll be dropping $5k-$15k on waterfowl gear in fiscal 2019. Just letting you know for planning purposes

  25. You're not throwing thousands of dollars of ski equipment in the bed of a truck, I wouldn't anyway. And that's not lifted, I'm looking at getting a new F250, that looks no different than what I've been looking at.

  26. Reborn at 50lbs and holding at 6.4. Been a few years since I tore one apart but it went back together perfect. Even timed dead on and in spec. Grampy will enjoy this one.

  30. Congrats to Gencountyzeek and chefhunter86. Some great scores and nice deer. Thank you to all the people that donated prizes; WNYBuckHunter for taking your valuable time out to set up and run this contest. Great job! As far as I see it, your all winners that participated in some of the best deer hunting, this state has to offer. It went fast; I know I enjoyed it. Good luck in the upcoming youth only contest and to the hero shot winner to be announced.

  33. What shot size ? I’d put them on turkey targets as like to tinker with turkey loads You probably know this, but don't forget that the waterfowl loads are steel and don't kill nearly as effectively as lead- and could damage your turkey choke.

  34. Two of my best spots are small creeks, one north and one south. They really produce when it's a cold late season which unfortunately this one is not. I'll take a hunt on a small creek for mallards over big water for divers most of the time

  35. Not having running boards on a truck jacked up like that makes little sense. I better be wearing sweat pants if I drove that truck or risk splitting my pants (not that that has ever happened to me at a wedding reception before).

  42. I could just see myself having to take a dump and deal with that contraption....heck, taking off my binocs, coat, vest, safety harness, pants w/suspenders, long johns and BVD's can consume WAY too much valuable time.

  43. Chef and Biz just died inside .... a little. I'm all for it. so much better than the Mathews. that'll stack deer at 50 lbs all season.

  44. Wore one on a deployment because I had a battalion commander that wanted everyone to look the same and he liked leg rigs for sitting at his desk. Having worn one for 8months I couldn’t imagine trying to wear one hunting. I would rather put a full size 1911 in my cargo pocket than a have a holster strapped to my thigh! 45. I started off on a Tandy TRS-80... as someone already mentioned, you need to know your DOS commands! My favorite DOS command later on down the road was "format c:".. I got into a little trouble with that one

  46. Not Really. If a deer has been fed corn from Day 1 in a feeder or pile it would still be the same. The issue with corn and deer only happens in the dead of winter in heavy snow when corn has not been in the diet and then loaded up on them and they fill their bellies with corn and can't break it down. 47. Was hoping for a better day than it was but that’s duck hunting. Birds were there 3 days ago and after temps went up add a little rain and poof they gone. Tacs and his neighbor son shot the only birds and me and Cooper enjoyed the show
