Heading out to get mine done. My backyard was a cow pasture until a few years ago. Never put anything on it or water it. The front, I've played around with a bit. But I'm no landscaper. My wife bought me this little sign years ago.4 points

Headed out in a little bit for my 8th cut of the season and probably my first sunburn while my fanatic neighbor is on his 16th cut. My lawn is still a really nice green while his is shown signs of turning brown. I am jealous so I am going to lower the deck and cut it low. Watering is out of the question. I do not want to increase the number of times I have to circle the yard each week. While short green grass is nice... brown grass is a beautiful thing.4 points

1 woman over for cocktails turned into 4 and pics were redacted in a NY minute! Multiple EQ Middletown Waves and MC² went down. Sipping a big, beautiful KBS afterwards is my equivalent of smoking a cigarette!3 points

Got the new elite out for some shooting today , stacking arrows at 50 yards already. Had a crosswind or I would have considered moving the sight a tad. Enjoy the sideways pics.2 points

The lake is very calm and really pretty this morning. I'll be taking a short walk along the the north end pretty soon. I'm charging a battery for the camera right now. I hate the high taxes, but at least the lady I actually hand my cash to is nice about it. She's my neighbor, and she usually apologizes for the tax rates. I buy her a beer at the American Legion now and then, and she invites me over for dinner with her husband on occasion.2 points

One of my favorite events to attend are some of the festivities during the IBOF weekend in Canastota. Will be heading to the card, autograph and memorabilia show at the high school in a bit, you will find no pro sports participants more accommodating and friendly to the fans than prize fighters. The parade is one of the best and that will be held in Canastota also tomorrow, if in the area it is worthwhile to see. Al http://www.ibhof.com/index.html2 points

I had to run a bunch of errands today. The lady at the post office was very helpful and friendly, as was the lady at the DMV, which is almost unheard of most places. At the gas station/convenience store a young black man held the door open for me because I tend to wobble and hobble as I walk, and I thanked him. I was right ahead of him when we left the store and I held the door for him. He said, "Thank you sir." He meant it, and I said you're very welcome. The gal at the cash register in the convenience store knows me because that's where I buy gas, diesel, and beer, and when I came up a dime short on the beer she said I could just owe her. I drove right back and gave her the dime because I didn't want her getting into trouble for a "short" cash register. That likely wouldn't have happened because the manager knows me well enough to trust me. Lunch at Vonnie's Boathouse Bar was interesting because there were a number of out-of-town people in there today, including a couple from NYC. We get lots of tourists during wine and leaf-peeping season, but not normally in early June. A lot of those late-season people are incredibly annoying. Limos full of SJW's. I had planned on a quick lunch but ended up staying for over two hours. I was peppered with questions about the area and we had a great conversation all along the bar. I think the NYC couple might be house-hunting right now. ;-) I hate to introduce politics into this, but I've given this a lot of thought in the ten years that I've lived here. I think that a lot of this general friendliness is because we're a mostly Conservative community. We can disagree without being abusive and adversarial. We can discuss differences without denigrating those with whom we disagree. It's not necessary.1 point

Interesting. Sounds much more credible and plausible than this current news flash from the DEC. Your typical Saratoga suburbanite gets all jazzed up about the "coy" dogs running amuck. They can't comprehend that actual coyotes exist. Now there are mountain lions in my backyard? I'll believe it when I see it. *grin*1 point

Happiness is a double...any double, but yours is a beauty. A couple years ago I sold my very seldom used Spanish made double 12. Unknown mfg, but 1960s era. I decided I needed the money more for my upcoming moose hunt than the gun I only lovingly fondled (and I still had 5 shotguns I almost never used).1 point

We call them Bobcats and house cats in the north east But seriously there really was a mountain lion that made it all the way to Connecticut from The Dakotas it got hit by a car in ct . So it is possible not likely though what is that 1 in 100 years that got that far east looks like that can be proven with a body . https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUSTRE76Q5ZE201107271 point

True. The weak points on the earlier Hellcats was the driveshaft and axles. You can break them even with a factory setup. The culprit is really wheel hop though, and most guys that break them are running with the wrong settings for the trans and suspension, which causes wheel hop. If you dont get off of the throttle quick, and instead try to power through it, youll break things. Another thing that will start breaking driveline parts is when guys use beadlock wheels. Id rather let the tire spin just a tough on the rim, it softens the shock to the rest of the drive train just a bit. Beadlocks will improve your 60 foot times by a touch, but its not worth the risk to me.1 point

Had the morn off so went out for a bit on Oneida. Lake was wavy already at 5:30 and that's always a bad sign. So fished the canal. Had good morn. Limit of eyes, 33 " northern, a couple of smallies. Lost one other eye right at the net and had a good walleye or a northern on that broke me off. Good morning out for sure.1 point

Daughter, son in law, and grandkids came over for Easter. The g-kids wanted to ride quads, so we pulled a few cards along the way.1 point
