I started to write about this in the dinner thread (I just cooked the halibut in the picture) but my dad and godfather just got back from Alaska. We lived there from 1988-1995 and I had a very unique childhood spending my young years there. Anyways my dad and godfather are now retired and took a trip back up there for ten or so days. They of course had a blast saw some caribou, moose, and bear of course. Fished the Russian River as they did thirty years ago. I'm so happy for them, they had a blast. These are just a few pictures from their trip and a few of me as a young boy. Alaska will never leave my heart, I've lived all over the world but there is no place like Alaska.

3rd time riding the atv’s there , such a great place to ride. We’re buzzing down a trail and and I see this little guy in the middle. Glad I missed him, we gave him a helping hand out of harms way.

My dad and godfather just got back from a ten day trip to Alaska. He dropped off about ten pounds of halibut and twenty pounds of salmon. I'll be smoking salmon all day tomorrow but we had blistered shishito peppers picked from the garden and pan seared halibut with caper butter sauce tonight. I was busy cooking but my wife snapped a picture. She also made a lemon meringue pie that was delicious. I'm happy they made it back to Alaska together my first memories are watching them fish the Russian river for kings. I don't have facebook otherwise I would share pictures from there trip.

We got beat up in pool play and dropped to the silver bracket and won it. Yesterday we went 4-1 and the weather was just perfect, I loved every minute of it. Some number comparisons..

Nothing big and fancy had a plot here 2 years ago on a old log deck. Cut it with weed wacker / brush cutter cleaned up some of the bigger wind rows. Seeded some plot spike clover and bio-logic brassica mix than sprayed. Will come back and fertilize and put in some rye and wheat or oat in three week. Should be a good smorgasbord with that and the weeds laying under the stuff that didn’t get picked up and I missed spraying.

They make very good chowder. I like it better than clam. You might want to learn where the brain is locate in the head and place your bullet there. That way the bullet selection is less important

Good Point. Some people (i.e., Biz) have ice in their veins and rise up during stressful times. Others (i.e., Jerkman) miss beer pong cups and 7 foot bow shots on 140" bucks.

26 this morning in high winds and rain. Hunted alone. Went late...well after peak feeding time. Waiting for my nephew to be able to go nxt week. I hate going without him.

When it comes to travel and HS ball there's no one that enforces a pitch count but a good coach along with educated / watchful parents will know based upon age and ability what a pitch count should be and also know how many days rest required in between pitching . There are standards out there that help you guage based upon age what a max pitch count should be . Pitching two days in a row irregardless of pitch count is not good, if that was my son he would have been pulled and coach spoken to, especially at that age.

Big snappers will absorb a 22 and keep on kicking. Have hit them many times in the head they go down and pop back up. 22 mag is a better choice and I would use solids . 223 probably the better choice . As always ricochet is a concern.

Loss-8-3(1 terrible defensive inning$ Game 2- 0-2 but productively moves a runner a runner who scored on the next kids hit to right field. Mortalis run this morning. Got there at 9 for noon release. Hundreds of cars ahead of me. Just made the cut for allotment. Hydra sours are amazing. One of each 2 flavors didn’t survive trip home.
