Up until yesterday I haven't gotten anything bigger than a 4pt on cam this year. I've had a big 8 pt on camera the past 3 years and I'm guessing this is him again this year. He grows a smaller kicker off of one side every other year and if this is him again he's now a 9pt with a kicker. This buck hands around from mid July to mid October reach year and is gone again until the next year.4 points

Omg yes it would, he had a deep shot to center on his first at bat and had a bases loaded triple on his 2nd at bat. He was pretty pumped about his play!4 points

Any shots at moose in Eastern Canada are likely to be to be very close....40 yards would be a long shot and 20 is more likely...You also have an 18 inch square vital area, given a broadside shot...Good luck, Pilgrim....3 points

I believe the vaccine works, it greatly reduces hospitalization and death. I got it. However the vaccinated can still contract and spread covid. So if someone doesnt want it the rest of us should simply mind our own goddamned business.3 points

A vaccine where you can still get sick and spread , they cant even be honest about what they're giving out.3 points

This past spring, I seeded the back half of my yard with Imperial Whitetail Fusion (clover/chicory mix). No ground prep at all, just broadcasted it into the existing lawn, hoping it would grow to have a decent plot. I’m amazed how well it took off and really took over the grass that was back there! I mow it with my lawn tractor, that has a max height cut of 4”. Every week when I mow, it’s 10-12” tall! I wanted to get another bag to seed spots that have holes in the clover plot. I saw that Whitetail Institute has a special going on now, where you buy a bag of Imperial Fusion and you get a bag of Imperial Clover for free, with free shipping. https://whitetailinstitute.com/buyonegetone/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Nah. She's the only one I've ever seen. We're overrun with coyotes and foxes. This is her third season that we know of and she swings by the backyard frequently where for those years we've had an active fox den very close. I even have a trailcam pic somewhere of her looking into one of the holes in the den in May. Although we've never seen her with any poults, she seems to be a lucky survivor. I wouldn't feel right taking her. Maybe I am getting soft in my old age.3 points

I’m going up to Quebec. I’ll be taking my bird dog along with me and going after grouse and woodcock (and hare) too. Well that’s the plan anyways. I had this hunt booked for last year but it was delayed due to the pandemic shutdown. Things were looking good with the recent announcement of an Aug reopening of the border. But now that there’s a strike of Canadian border workers and with the new delta variant peak, I hope it doesn’t delay things again. All I can do is assume it will be on and prepare appropriately.3 points

I have not yet. My wife did a while back. I'll get it eventually. I don't mind people who have gotten it or those that want to wear masks. Just don't force things on me and we will all get along just fine like everyone did in the old days before hyper polarization https://www.instagram.com/thejerkman #JerkmanCustoms #WeDemandUnlimitedLikes3 points

I had a motor home on FB for sale for 45k A guy called me and asked me a bunch of questions and said he was from Idaho and wanted it IF it was what I said . Im picky and described it to a T He said he would send me 1000.00 wired to my bank account . I called my bank and spoke to my buddy the manager . He said we will open a brand new account , give him that number , after the funds are cleared transfer into my main account. I told the guy if he gets here and jerks me around at all I’m keeping the deposit . All went fine .. he flew to Syracuse and took an Uber to look at the MH. Said he wanted it , called his bank and wired the rest of the money .I told him I’m holding it and the title until Tuesday were cleared.. Next day by noon they cleared and were put into my other account and the guy drove it home ! What I thought would be a mess turned out fine !3 points

It's a selfish world we live in. There is absolutely NO sense of civic responsibility anymore. People just want to bitch and complain about being forced to get vaccinated or made to wear a freakin mask. No sense of what might be best for society to get rid of this $hit once and for all. All people care about is themselves and it seems like most everyone these days is completely brainwashed by one political ideology or the other. If we had the same mentality as we do today during WWII the freaking world would have been taken over by the enemy. No question about that!!2 points

My wife works at tractor supply at glenmont store and the other day a girl that works there calls into work and tells them that her son has covid and ask what to do they say not to worry about it she can still come to work because she got vaccinated ...I really dont think that's how this shit works and this is how shit keeps spreading...talk about a greedy company I think at most she should eathier self quarantine or be made wear a mask.. mind you this girl touches everything she works in the front of the store no less2 points

More than anything it's the fact that it's a low fatality rate sub 1%. Let alone there has been research that those with type O blood have a 30%+ lower likelihood of issues with the Rona than those that do not. Paired with the fact the vaccines are not fully approved yet I'm just in no major rush. If it was something like ebola that was spreading everywhere with a 50%+ fatality rate then I'd be more inclined, but as it sits today I'm not rushing to go get one. That said I don't knock anyone who has gotten it. People need to make decisions they are comfortable with. https://www.instagram.com/thejerkman #JerkmanCustoms #WeDemandUnlimitedLikes2 points

As I’m sure you know the more weight you add to the tip the weaker the spine of your arrow will be . I’d say experiment and what ever arrow set up shoots the best out of your bow that’s the one .2 points

Just got some land (50 plus acres) & house in CT. Not only is September hunting great but as a landowner you start rifle season November 1st. My Cams are picking up a lot of deer & bear. Unfortunately bear hunting is illegal in CT. Only exception is if you’re about to be eaten. You never know when that NY bear tag may come in handy… just kidding… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points
