  1. Good luck everybody. Stay safe and post pics.. Ill be hunting indoors with the HAAS today lol
  2. Looks great! A hell of a lot better than many others I have seen. Was hoping to put the hammer on a nice one this year. Would love a full size mount. The face detail is awesome..
  3. That is absolutely nuts! i stay away from property lines during gun season as much as possible, mainly because some of my close neighbors are really careless in the woods, resulting in deer to be no where around lol. And you never know what they are capable of, im not sure how color blindness works in the deer woods either. Id just really hate to become a deer looking object. But this would be another good reason for me to stay away from them. I Hope they dont do this to you again, but as non intelligent as they seem.. i pray for you sir!
  4. I center my housing with my peep always before every shot, that is why they housings are usually a bright color... My buddy who runs a mathews dealer showed me this years ago. I have never shot with a level either, until the used bow i recently picked up came with a level sight. My form must have been pretty good through the years because the bubble on the new bow is darn near dead level at full draw each time. When i shot multi pin sights, I would put my 20yrd pin(1st pin) dead center of the housing as well. Not sure of my peep size, not a single clue lol. My single pin HHA comes center from factory .. I bought the bigger 2 inch housing not realizing i really wanted the 1.625" housing. but not that big of a deal..
  5. Just dont whack that doe in Wannabes set!! lol
  6. I was going to ask the same question! lol. Agreed, WNYBH gets my buck if he accepts.
  7. A shooter buck to me has to be atleast 3.5 yrs old. I strive for 4.5yr olds and better but it depends on how the season is going as well. But nothing under 3.5yr for me unless its injured or what not. I have no problem passing bucks. I dont need to harvest a buck every year, im past that point in my life. In fact I dont even need to take a doe. Just being in the tree is successful enough for me really. After wounding a few slammer bucks over the years and not finding them... Unless the shot is absolutely perfect I wont take it.. I've passed many good bucks due to the shot not being perfect. No longer will i force a shot.. My wife hasnt seemed to enjoy venison the last couple years as much as she has before, so maybe that helps me some for being more patient in a stand..
  8. I got the color phase bear back on cam again, and to top that.. My neighbor at camp got a pic of an absolutely beautiful "Bigger" Cinnamon on cam. Since it is my neighbors pic, I wont post it but its a nice beautiful true cinnamon light in color.. Possibly the same one that was near Corning NY if anyone saw that one on FB Pic is the bear i got on cam, not the neighbors. Lots of Bears at camp this year.
  9. I need to buy one now. There are quite a few on amazon like you stated. no names with good reviews and price.
  10. Yea I could see some hunter shooting it on a beautiful Sunny day at 25 yards, thinking it is a world record Whitetail. Lol. I know of a few people.. I know a man who shot 2 donkeys at first light on opening day of gun years back.. mistaken for a whitetail lol.
  11. Yea i will definitely be standing in certain spots. Even for 32yrs old, my lower back and hips do not do so well with little to no support. Guess I need to get back to the gym again.
  12. Forgot to mention, i dont even have my tags yet lol
  13. Heck yes, Brownings take great videos and most have sound as well. Been trying to get the perfect video of birds gobbling and its oh so close, half of birds gobbling, or gobbling just off cam.. but never dead center.. Lots of spittin and drumming and yelping though.. HD Videos are much cooler than standard pics.
  14. I feel your pain sir! Our first 2 were pretty simple, 1st more than the 2nd, but the 2nd wasnt bad.. not compared to third.. He doesnt sleep at night.. maybe an hour or 2 at a time if were lucky, and he literally is a tornado with every room he walks into(on a good day).. bad days, he needs your un divided attention every other second of the day.. Very tiring to say the least. He was less than 5 months last year, and I think i made it out 5 times all season..
  15. I have a quick attack quiver you can have if needed. Im never ready when id like to be since having children, Shot my bow, most cams are out. Washing clothes this week. Was supposed to go check stand straps Sunday, but got pretty sick with something. Just my luck. Wish i was used to it by now.. Ill stop a couple times quick this week after work and get my main stands checked at least. and setup a mock scrape if time permits.. My wife has only shot her bow once so far.. And she really only hunts the first few weeks while its warmer out.. We are never ready.. Life is just too busy working more than full time jobs and having 3 kids from 12 yrs to 1yr old.
  16. At the end of the article, the DEC they couldnt do anything since no regulations on the animal, but stated there could be possible owner charges if wanted to..
  17. Cool sighting, That's not too far from where I live. The owner is probably waiting for someone to kill it then press charges lol. The New America...
  18. Just noticed your post, Sorry sir. Thanks for the tips. I just ordered a Tenzig vest with kickstands for whichever the setup allows me to do.. Also ordered a Lucky Duck Rev from verminator.. 20 real life bonus calla plus a hat lol. Cant wait. Sighted in with factory loads, and just loaded up some 52 and 55 gr handloads. More excited for predator hunting than Deer season this year.
  19. So Sorry Sir, My thoughts are with you and your family.
  20. WTH, i really hate people. Sorry to hear of this sir. That is B.S. And really frustrates me just looking at this..
  21. about 25 acres of where i hunt was darn near clear cut.. It was all Blue spruce and Larch for the most part. ITs been 1.5 years now and if you stand in it.. You cant see more than 5 or 10 yards in front of you. Ive never walked thorugh it yet.. So For now it stays as a sanctuary. Not sure if it holds deer or not. But it sure looks like it should. Looks to be a lot of briars growing up. Which gives me some doubt for the future .. But my plots and cams around it show some real activity..
  22. Good to know, not sure where you find all these articles but thanks for posting. Most of my beans are just starting to turn yellow now. With some already matured and dried out.. I planted a few extra from each bag, in a garden box here at work so i can keep tabs on them without visiting them. ITs nice to see plants grow and reach maturity like they are supposed to. My group 0 beans are all grain now for about a week. My group 2 bean is yellowing. Garden box beans planted first week of June. Bean Plots planted last couple Days of May.
  23. 1. Mathews Z7 I bought brand new in 2011. Love this bow. Will never get rid of it. 2. Mathews MR7 I picked up through a member here a few months ago. Will upgrade the sight and rest next season.. Bow is tight and good shooter. Shot and owned Mathews for 16 years now.. Sorry kind of bad pics.. Its all I have lol
