We are in for the PM sit. Kicked up 2 on the way in....no blowing....they just high tailed it outta the woods. Hoping something gets in its feet and cruzs past!

You should have hit that spot a week earlier, and you could have killed her with your ML.  That said, I hunted my spot up in 6c all of last week with mine, and I didn’t get a single good chance at a doe.
 

 I did have a “just barely legal” spike almost beg me to shoot him broadside with a 30/30 this past Sunday morning though.  It was all I could do to hold off, since I really want to see for myself, how that caliber works on a deer.  
 

He will be in trouble if I still have my gun buck tag after Thanksgiving, the next time I go up there.  Most likely though, I’ll just see antlerless deer then, when they know that they are safe.

First sit in this location. Property has potential, although no deer seen yet.

Just had a stud skirt us at 60 yards.....I am in a double stand with my 8 year old. Came in behind us but I heard him coming with the dry leaves on the ground. Was an outside the ears 10pt. He milled around for a bit under some trees still holding leaves and we thought he was going to cross in front of us at 30 yards. He opted to walk off in the opposite direction. Boy did thay get the ole blood pumping.

Sat out tonight.  My back is giving me hell and I don't have a good north wind setup here.  Doe, fawn and an 8 point came out in the plot just before 6pm.  Hopefully he hangs around.  Haven't had a buck here in a couple weeks.  Game on!

Been hunting lightly as not to burn myself out awaiting "the good"

Saw a dozen deer while driving. Nothing while in the woods though. No deer seen and no deer heard. I'm okay with that part, but I didn't learn much about this property in the meantime. Oh well. The weekend is looking good.

Cousin shot a nice 8 in 7j tonight. My cams have been quiet, but feeling good about a morning sit.

Sat for a few hours this evening until dark. Had a buck grunting back and forth with me and I could smell him but never got eyes on him. He definitely had a deep grunt to him, maybe next time. Did shine a mature 8 nosing around a doe last night.

Had this 8 pt come by at 4:45. Real nice buck as wide as his ears just too small not enough mass. He will be awsome next year if he makes it. Also had a buck grunting and trashing some trees in the brush by me. This weekend should be good!

12 deer seen between my nephew and me all does except for a spike. That's a good start I'd say to this spot.

Thankfully no.  Got a pic of a doe about a hr later.

Short 90 minute hunt this evening. Two bucks including this 4pt guy. A handful of doe. Started using the flash on him lol.

Gonna head south to pa in the am, couple bucks been movin around, and an east wind is horrible for my stands. Enclosed blind it is.

My brother called me and we are going to try and tag team the gun spot tomorrow. He’s going to his spot the next ridge over from me so hopefully one of us gets eyes on a shooter.

Tough pill to swallow to have one of your target bucks slap your mock scrape around as you sit there and watch at 60 yards and watch him just walk on by.                         Just what keeps us coming back for more. Gotta love it!

Up and getting ready shortly. Had a nice surprise on camera. Have another good buck show up for the first time last night. So hoping one of the 3 good ones show up today.  First pic is the new one from over night.

on way to work a coyote runs across the road at my hunting spot and 400 yards down the road a decent buck by the road.  Stuff is on the move, will be out this afternoon. good luck all
