Just had a 4pt and a 6pt come through which got the bedded doe up

I got home at noon and to add insult to injury on what I thought was going to be an eventful morning, I lost decocking bolt.  So tired from hour long climb back up that hill and home I was too lazy to turn my target. I though hey 20yrds will stop it..nope!..blew right through and buried it's self several yards behind target and I think in the woods.I looked and looked ...I've hit that center circle too many times I guess... Oh well an excuse to use Amazon points so ordered 6 carbon express pile driver bolts... Will go back out this afternoon...

 I got a good look at trails and yep I have had someone in using the stand...First year I have not taken the bolts out of platform and tie strapped the base to rail so no none could get to seat... thanks again for that idea Eddie it's worked for several years... will have to do it again before gun season...They have really trampled the trails down ...may explain why I saw just one lone buck and no other animals save birds and the red squirrels

730 am called a decent 8pt in and when he stopped at 6 yrds my pa archery season ended. He walked 20 yards stopped and tipped over. Now to chase turkeys.

Finally found dogs after being on the run for 5 hours. Getting dressed and running to a piece of stateland ive been waiting to hunt.

Kids on dirt bikes forced me in for lunch sooner than I planned.  Refueling then back out to a new spot for the pm sit.

Got down at 12 and exercised my expert version of still hunting. Came to 15 yards of two doe bedded down. No idea they were there until they ran. Lol

Now in a tree again. A better one, this one is the money spot (maybe). Like the one I took two deer from a couple weeks ago but slightly further out to take advantage of slightly more range from the xbow so my overall perimeter is bigger.

Time for soup #2. I would stay till dark but gotta leave by 4.

This is my 7th or 8th time out this year and seen deer every time although I have to say they are far more sparse than the first two weeks were.

Nothing burger of a morning. Heading back out for the day now. Gonna try some Estrus. I have one Buck, morning and evening at one scrape site.

Just got to 3N. Dad hasn’t seen any deer all day. Cams got no pics of the 5,7, or 8 since last Saturday. Lots of doe/fawns and some little bucks. Also got the record for most birds in 1 pic.



Just got into my spot with the xbow. Same spot I killed Big 4pt last year on xbow opening day afternoon. 3 hours till sunset.

I got to my stand about 30 mins ago. Same one I was in the other day. Ranged where the big boy came in last time. 45 yards. Maybe he wants to stop by again this afternoon. The 2 scrape lines near this stand have been freshened up very recently.

I also made it back for the afternoon. Sitting in a creekbottom,very very small creek,but i hope some buck will come cruising by. The wind is always weird down here but pretty good today.

I found some deer this a.m. once i climbed up the first shelf behind my stand. Mother and little one,fed their way right to me until the doe noticed me. She was not sure what i was and kept coming closer,ended up at 13 yds. I let her go,she thanked me by snorting up a storm,so I left.

Really want to get a deer today though,a nice big one. Just like buckmasters girlfriends.

Got settled in at 2:30, new tree. It has poison ivy vines on it, does it go dormant in the cold? I hope?!
