Nomad
I was watching to see if anyone here was in the thick of it . I think we got 3 inches or so . Around Seneca Lake . 6 inches in a short period . https://www.whec.com/news/travel-advisory-issued-for-parts-of-seneca-county/5030017/?cat=565 Edited August 14, 2018 by Stay at home Nomad
Uncle Nicky
Not NY, but my neighborhood took a good hit. No damage to my property, but it was touch & go with the shed yesterday. Watched a guy get stuck in a puddle 100 yards from my window, the fire rescue guys had to come and get him in a raft, he was standing on the roof of his car. Not all the neighbors did as well as I did.

dbHunterNY
region around Binghamton seems to be flooded in many spots from what i'm seeing from friends and wife's extended family. i watched video of the place just across the border in PA were we stayed for her cousin's wedding. there was a river flowing through it! DirtTime
Where I am for this one, Greene County and Schoharie County seem to be getting hammered the most according to the news. Was supposed to be bad nasty rain and T-Storms for that area and mine according to just about every weather channel I looked at this morning, now it looks like it's bypassing. Last week, Delmar had the intersection of Delaware Ave. & Elsmere flooded, Schenectady had so much rain it blew a transformer out in the sewer in front of Proctors, and few other streets flooded. This is insane, every August it seems for the past 6 years.

Not too bad, the field closest to the river is half flooded, nothing bad by the buildings except some ponding. I've seen it much worse. Dodged a bullet in this area. b3h
Went down rt 220 yesterday afternoon. Every river, creek and stream was angry. Rt 220 was closed, up into the hills thru 5 detours. Never seen so many flare burns and bridges out along the routes. Lots of water runnin over the roads. Pa got hammered bad. All headed towards Harrisburg and below.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bigfoot 327
Lodi on Seneca Lake got hammered hard. 50 people had to be rescued near Lodi State Park. Official rainfall total was 6.4 inches for Lodi. Spotters reported 8.75 inches for both Valois and Dresden. Some cars and travel trailers were reportedly washed into the lake. Governor what's his face toured the area this morning for his photo op. National Guard has been called out and 14 NY counties have been declared disaster areas. Seneca Lake was reported to have risen 10 inches in 9.5 hours! I live about 30 miles SE of Lodi. We also dodged a bullet. I had 1.75 inches in my rain gauge. I would not be surprised to take a buck with webbed hooves this year!

grampy
We've had rain after rain for the last couple weeks. Ground is totally saturated. But no flooding nearby.......yet. Doesn't look like I'll be fishing the Mohawk any time soon. Seeded food plots Iast week, hopefully they will take off like crazy.
