This word Dang?

What is with this word "Dang".  I'm hearing more NYers on NY hunting and shooting sites using Dang?? Dudes we are friggin New Yawkers! Yea Yankees, men of the North Woods, we're the ones that kicked ass in the civil war!. Are yawl trying to throw a southern flare or something into your posts. Do you realize you sound like Goobers? Why not also throw in "Shazzam", lol. Please don't go into a bar in Bensonhurst using Dang, those Brooklyn Italians will examine your head. You don't hear southern boys walking around saying "Fagetabowdit" ,do you? We are Friggin New Yorkers, be proud! LMFAO!!

Having lived south of the Mason Dixon  line for a few years when I was younger, I've carried a few things back with me. Some southern slang among them. 

As for me, I identify much more with backwoods southerners, more so than with big city people. 

Not slamming big city people, there are some good ones on this forum.
