mlammerhirt
My good friend Jack Daniels talked me into hunting a new spot on the property I haven’t been to yet this year. He also talked me into changing it up and bringing the 30-.06 out for the first time ever hunting with a rifle. I just barley made it though the water without getting wet so that’s a plus already. Now if the deer will cooperate with Jacks plan I’ll be a happy man. Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYes......thank God you had a sit down with Jack last night!Prediction time......the .06 barks for Mojo today and he punches a tag with that rifle for the first time......and the Bills roll the Broncos big today......31-10!!!Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
moog5050
Bought a couple of meat totes and big cutting board. So much easier and cleaner to finalize the field to freezer.
JALA RUT
Passed on a spike at about 30yds at 7:45. Nothing since and the wind is picking up.
Al Bundy
I think the squirrels are mobilizing for battle this morning. Tons of them. Zero deer. I'm ready for duck season next weekend.

JALA RUT
Now a doe with a yearling just eased by real slow at 20yds. So far, much better than yesterday's all day sit without a single deer.
WWJD_Hunter
Went out this morning for about 1hour because I couldn’t sleep. I did see a doe come down from the cut corn field , but at 80 yards moving fast through the woods. I did find a scrape that is still being worked. Good luck to those out there trying to get it done. My partner and I killed a pile of deer with our Deerslayers! Used em for close to twenty years, and never once a malfunction. Ours loved the Remington Copper Solids. Most shots were around 50 yards, and there were plenty of bang-flops. May just have to take the old girl out for one more dance! Best of luck to ya out there! Fletch
My Ithaca Deerslayer 2 in 20 gauge is down the creek bed in the tower with one of my newbies. I should just call it the harvester! That gun shoots great out to 120. Light, fast and what it hits it kills. Mine loves Lightfields. It’s killed a pile of deer. turkeyfeathers
Thought this was some neat pics on card pull yesterday. Knocked down corn getting some love. And this buck on opening day well within reach of where I sit but I was 1.5 hours away

I know there are a lot of newer slugs on the market, but I've used the Copper Solids since they first came out-always had great success with them. Also used Lightfields when they first came out a bit. I shoot the Coppers out of my 1100 with hastings barrel.
BizCT
Yuck....rain and high winds all day. halfnelson
Good day to recharge, after most of the day hunts on Fri and Sat- probably sit out most of the rain here in 3G. Very little action here the last few days. Yesterday only a couple of does and a coyote...couldn't get him in with a lip squeak. Good luck to those that are out. Al Bundy
It’s fairly nice morning to hunt here. Very Light winds overcast 37. Not at all a bad morning. Just not a thing moving around my spot the last two, days. This is quite typical of my spot during gun.
