Best boots!?

What do you guys think are the best waterproof and insulated hunting boots. Does not include mucks.  Something you can hike in.

I hunt and hike in a pair of Corcoran Jump Boots, not insulated.  Never had any issue about cold feet, but I have waterproofed them to hell and back.

I’ve had a pair or Red Wings for years and years.  Still very serviceable and super comfortable.  With a heavy pair of wool socks they are plenty warm.  For the past 2 years I have worn a pair of Muck boots.  Just easier to get on/off, and they have been warm enough in the weather I have hunted in.   But if the Mucks spring a leak, I will go back to my Red Wings.

Kennentrek. Waterproof the leather and you’re good to go. I’ve been hunting in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico (along with NY) in all kinds of terrain and I can’t say enough good about them.

I bought these Danners a few years back and really like them. I needed a light weight water proof boot for hiking long distances to my hunting spot, and something that would keep my feet warm on cold all day sits.  They are my go to boot for such hunts and have never let me down.

I have a pair of under armours that I use when I'll be doing a long walk / hike. I like them alot and my feet don't sweat too bad. Truth be told, I've put miles and miles on my mucks though...

I have def put a lot of miles on my mucks. I love them but they are not ideal for hiking.

I don't know if I would say these are the best boots but I got these last year for my moose hunt. used them all through deer season and then spring turkey and they're holding up very well. I was able to get them in an extra wide size which made all the difference for me. most comfortable rubber boot I've ever had

I started using Herman's during the Spring turkey season, 400grams Thinsulate. They were pretty comfortable for hiking from one place to call to the next. I also have a pair of 800gram for the colder temps this fall.

Prices range from around $60 - $200.

I've had a set of Irish Setter Elk Trackers for about 9 years now. Every year I brush them off and apply a good coat of SnoSeal with heat from a blow dryer. I use a scentless antiperspirant spray, then Coolmax polypro liners and a pair of good merino wool socks. Bone dry and warm.

I have always had good luck with Rocky boots. Never had to "break" in a pair and they last forever. The newer ones are not as good as the older models. I think the newer ones are made in china (like everything else).

My last pair of Rocky boots lasted me about 10 years and only cost $50 or so. I used them for everything outdoors and never had a complaint. The pair I had wasn't the warmest on super cold days, but I knew that when I bought the 400g Thinsulate model. The finally fell apart last year so I ended up grabbing a similar pair of Field & Stream boots from Sportsman's Warehouse. Similar construction, lightweight. Hoping I get 10 years out of these.

I bought a pair of Lacrosse last year and love them but they’re definitely not meant for long distance hikes . For warmth , I usually only double my wool socks , finding triple- layer actually seems to make my feet colder !!

I have a pair of Columbia Bugaboos for my light early season. Wicked comphy and waterproof without any care. My heavier set are Danner and I’d say they are really good, not great. They take some care to keep em waterproof and the leather beats up. I try to support USA made.
