Cams have definitely been more active at night than daytime recently but just had a big boy pass by -- forget the temps, get in a stand.

I know hunting is a waiting game but this is getting very frustrating. Haven’t seen much movement and when I do they are here and gone in seconds.

My morns been a shit show lol. Was up in stand down past the Hole well before light. Bro up on his ridge. An hour after light he texts me saying he’s got surveyors working down below him walking all over the bedding area. We know the place is being sold and think it’s going to be a development. This is our last season here. Well we figured the morning hunt was pooched so headed out. I’m off today so figured I’d go sit out back for a while. It now 9am I get about 175 yards from my far stand and I’m easing along but obviously not looking good enough and catch a doe jump and take a couple bounds across the bottom maybe 75 yards away. Then I see a bucks with her. He has no idea I’m there. He’s standing 60 yards away. Looks like a solid 8. 2.5 prolly a shooter. Not sure if she saw or just heard me but she is not happy. I give a couple soft grunts. She head away uphill he’s now looking my way but he wanted her more than me. She dragged him up the ridge. Now sitting here with that stupid feeling you get when you just screw up lol.

I’m not thrilled about 70,s for the next week but Moog says get out there so I’m out there!!

Buddy of mine scored on a nice big 8pt last night in Hilton. Says his cams are blowing up with daytime activity. I'll be in all day tomorrow hoping to see something. I think the corn may have been cut last weekend, so that should help. Debating the xbow or the reg bow.
