What’s Your Favorite Grunt Call

I am looking to get a grunt call but not sure which one to choose. Looking for a little help with this. Is it better to get a wood call similar to a duck call or something plastic? I am thinking simplicity is key and a small size beneficial.

I don’t have a lot of confidence in my own ability to imitate a vocalization with the calls . I was thinking of using the downloaded apps from my phone ; I mean , what could be better than the real thing right lol

I’ve had very good luck with this one.

I really never had any luck with a grunt tube until I bought a Buck Roar.  I use it just for grunting, never tried to roar.

This is same the one I've carried for a long time, though I rarely use it.

I’m trying a WoodHaven this year. Sounds great. It was recommended by someone I trust. I have yet to unleash it on a worthy buck. I will update.

I carry a Lohman original deer grunt call. It does not sound aggressive or loud, but for whatever reason, I have had a lot of success with older bucks late in the early bow season with it.

Bucks up north seem to like it. A couple mature bucks have came into it.

When I’m still hunting in crunch conditions I blow on it constantly and see plenty of deer, 2 small bucks this weekend.

You were the reason I bought mine in '14! I said if it works for ole two buck Larry maybe it will work for me. That year I got a massive buck to stand on his back legs 300+ yards away looking for the buck making the grunts. It was awesome!
