Pond goin in on the zeeks homestead

Sooo excited for this to be happening. Always wanted a pond back here and its reality. 

The farmer has for years tried to move this rock and could never get it to budge...only the top 1ft was exposed, crazy big boulder. Ill have more pics to go along as more progress happens.

More dirt moved. Buddy is working his normal shift then coming here to work. So the next few days are going to be small changes. He is hoping to be done this weekend. I will say anyone in the wny area that needs good top soil when he is all dine we have a mountain. Bring a dump trailer and ill load ya up!

Make sure you stock the crayfish and minnows 1st and wait a year to let them really get established.   Free permit from your countys soil and water district, and they may sell stock as well.  A half acre pond can  only support 200 lbs of fish with out supplemental feeding ,  so make sure your sticking ratios are correct .

Thats the plan, bait goes in next year, predators the following year.
