I picked up some new arrows last weekend. I like em alot, as they group well at 30 yards.

Will switch over to my broadheads for practice now. Should be good to go come October.

A little sad, shot my first hunting arrow today with nocturnal and freshly sharpened black hornet head, bullseye at 20 yards and my photo didn’t save!

Got a lot accomplished today. Felt good on my number for 40yds for 3rd week in a row, so put a real sight tape on and it worked great. I shot it at random ranges and it worked awesome. Also setup the new GlenDel buck and I took my first shot at a 3D buck. 25yd shot. For those with a keen eye you’ll see my dad xbow shot first to the left of mine. I shot it once more from 32yds clipping heart and all lungs. All in all took roughly 25 shots. And feeling pumped. I’ll hunt with sight left on 25yds so the next few weeks I’ll shoot 15-40yds by feel so I know how high or low to aim

I just follow the seasons with each weapon. If I was an elitist bow hunter I wouldn’t touch a gun at all like the bowsite guys. Or like the Westchester guys who only bow hunt 10/1-12/31 like Jerkman!

That's  what I do with my single pin. Top of pin is 0-10,whole pin out to 30. Bottom of the pin to 35 and that my max range.  Still dialing it in for the new bow.  Most likely even shooting 35 they will drop a little bit so I can just aim like I normally do at 30 and they'll drop into it.

Not true. Xbow bucks mean way more to me than any gun kill. Why do you hunt with gun though? Why not stick with bow all season like many others?

I just like the sounds and feel of the gun opener. But the actual real hunt it with the bow

That's  what I do with my single pin. Top of pin is 0-10,whole pin out to 30. Bottom of the pin to 35 and that my max range.  Still dialing it in for the new bow.  Most likely even shooting 35 they will drop a little bit so I can just aim like I normally do at 30 and they'll drop into it.

That’s interesting. I just aim on the back or lower etc. but always use the pin the same way

First shot in a month, re stringed, re tuned, and first shot with the Magnus Stingers.  Putting them on feathered shafts for some increased drag worked excellent.  Dead on at 30 too.  The target points with the Blazer wraps are a bit off, but with 1 month to go I don't want to touch it. 

Shoots really nice at 66 pounds, 29.5" draw.  Good old Commander, love her.

I've missed the academy for the last couple of weeks, so I just shot in my backyard, 20 yds. Gotta at least go through the motions! Shoot quick and put it away before the APD show up! Lol!

Minutes after what would be legal shooting light. One arrow at 60ish I figured. Then a group off the back deck at treestand height. Group was a little low. Form must have not been too rusty. Shot it for 20 yds despite target was at 25 or so thinking I'd be a little higher. Nope.
