YFKI1983
I wish I could sit all day this time of year. Too hot and slow for me. Read "city of thieves"Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Nomad
In an effort to improve on my personal defects, I’m currently reading this one , but you’ll blow through it in a day .
The_Real_TCIII
Game of Thrones, they’ll take you all season. Then you are contractually obligated to tell everyone you meet that you read them. I read them.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
moog5050
You sitting a full day on opener? God bless you. I did that my first season. Longest sit ever.
philoshop
I used to do crossword puzzles on long sits. Fill in a word then look up and look around. It worked as far as timing and pace goes. If you get too absorbed in the read, there will be a nice buck looking at you with his eyes crossed when you finally look up. 1

jmark
A couple of "quick reads" I've enjoyed - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/0825306493/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O2SQL6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Both are "flawed" in some ways, mainly because the writers are not professional writers. That's also what makes them more enjoyable, to me.

JRod 8G8H
I usually read the huntingny live from the stand thread when I first sit down. My bowhunting read will be Rick Steve's Italian phrase book and dictionary. About 400 pages of lingo and phrases, if you're interested in language learning. My family is from sicily so words are different so i find this book excellent. Good luck
Pygmy
" Sally's Strange Vacation " is a favorite of mine.. Just be sure you don't get carried away and fall out of your stand...
crappyice
This website, not being a wiseguy, I browse through here in hopes of checking out harvests of others, to convince myself deer DO exist. This website is the deers BEST DEFENSE!!!! I’ve been busted a few times scrolling around and missed deer coming by! Not this year!!! Fully focused! However, I like Old Man and the Sea. Small book fits in back pocket. Hey Wolc, you got any suggestions?!?!?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lawdwaz
Wolc will offer up a bible......... (not that there’s anything wrong with that)
DirtTime
Best reading material I have found, is the woods itself. I had a few places that I had reception to be in the "Live From The Stand Thread", now, most of the areas I hunt have no Internet connection. It's all good. Deer appear at times like ghosts, so I would rather have my focus on the woods rather then a book. Just me.
Uncle Nicky
I've been reading some of the Jack Reacher novels lately to kill time in an airport, on a stand, etc. A little far-fetched at times, but exciting enough to keep my interest. Swamp_bucks
Green mile. I seem to read it every year and always during deer season.
stubborn1VT
I'm a big fan of the Prey novels by John Sandford. I tend to re-read books when I'm on stand, so I don't have to focus too closely on reading.
