First-light
It's pathetic we had three groups. Now town was very busy with kids hitting up the stores. I just remember staying out filling up my pillow case full of candy in my neighborhood. Not anymore I guess. My 14 year old went to a party but thats the age where you break away from going house to house. I guess more for us!

Nomad
Slow night here maybe 20 so far . I’ve got two dark houses ,one next to me and the other is next to them , I think that’s keeping kids on the other side of the street . Plus our front faces one street , while our driveway is in another ( corner house ). Not many coming across lawn I think I just doubled the number , in two minutes ! wolc123
We have not had any in years. The houses are too far apart, here in the flood-plane. I just drove our kids to a nearby subdivision on higher ground, where the pickings should be much better. I hope so, because those chocolate treats are great up in the deer stand and I have a lot of time planned up there over the next few weeks. First-light
All the candy gets donated to deer season sitting in the stand!

jmark
We are in lower Westchester, 10 minutes from the Bronx line, and our house is 250 yards from the train station. For years, we would get literally hundreds. They would take the train up, or sometimes come in cars (with parents mostly), and do our neighborhood. I used to literally fill a (new) garbage can with candy (yeah, it wasn't a cheap holiday). We would be up late, trying to make sure we were nice to all the trick-or-treaters. Last couple of years, it's just died out for some reason. Maybe they found a new neighborhood? We get maybe 30-40 over the whole evening. About 2/3 of those are people we know. [shrug]. Well, it's cheaper and I get to bed earlier...

MPHunter
We're in the middle of the burbs but on a street that doesn't connect to the adjacent neighborhoods. We only get the kids that live on our street and a few others. Maybe 25 or 30.
