Wood splitter incident. DON'T OPEN IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE A LITTLE GORE.

Sitting in ER with my wife. We were at camp splitting wood. She was running the woodsplitter and I was bringing the rounds to her.

Well, she was looking at me, and not paying attention. Next thing ya know, her fingers are stuck between the log and the base of splitter. Smashed those sumbitches with 27 tons of pressure. 

May be able to salvage middle finger, may not.

Drugs are kicking in. Thank God.

Waiting for surgeon.

A couple of years ago, my wife walked into a chainsaw that I was holding. I thank the gods that it was only 130 stitches to her knee and missed everything important. I still shudder when I think of it.

Ironically, this is the same finger she cut off 10 years ago with hedge trimmers.
