Who’s the dummy here?

The birds demands respect.

No, you're right, I suck.  He came in at least 300 yards in 5 minutes, easy shot, I really need to get over this idiocy I'm into for the last 2 years.

I’ve been within 40yds of A good bird 4 times in the last hour. He keeps zigging when I zag. He’s got a bunch of other birds with him and without much leaves it’s making it tough to lay the sneak on him!

Was out tent camping with my wife last night and we were awoken this morning by a flock of very noisy turkeys...only a few arm-lengths away from our tent.

congrats to those who have harvested!!

To far never to shoot never got a  chance for them to come in . Another hunter came around the corner to try to put the sneak on them and off they went

Yeah all 5 Ran off. We were much closer to the Birds. I know he heard me Cutting + Yelping.

It is what it is-- next time.

Another dumb 2 year old educated.  In the heat of the moment once again I put the dot right on his white head at 20 and shot high.  I either need a new sight that I can lower enough to just shoot how I want, or a new gun.

I’ve always been taught to aim at the waddles

Always heard aiming 1/2 way up the neck is the rule of thumb.

Right- part of your pattern will go High anyway. If you shoot at Mid Neck, you will also put some pellets in the Gobblers Head.

If you shoot at the Head and get a Adrenaline  Dump/ Turkey Fever- you might miss over the Top.

Exactly.  I always aim where the feathers stop.

That's a tough one.....definitely looks like a beard....but I can't say 100% Jake or Hen.
Same problem on my cams....but with spypoint you can request it to be upgraded to HD for .10.....and it sometimes helps.

Going to be hard getting up the next 5 day and go to work when I want to be out in the woods .

Not to worry Cynthia. I will be hunting elsewhere in NY + a few days in New Jersey this week.

Let's rest that area- especially  after that other Turkey Hunter moved in on the Birds, I was calling to and Spooked then Bigtime.

They probably  will change their patterns now for a good 4 or 5 Days after that major Spook.

I have my Mountain Bike in my Saturn and will be Biking in as, I  am " walked out"- LOL!

Come next Saturday- we will be back at it.
