Trump is right on the boarders, on stopping Muslim's coming in until the system can be fixed. I don't want to wake up to what's happening in Brussels, Frances. You wait until Germany gets hit. I think its worth the life's of millions of Americans to make some wait to come into our Country. Its not racist its common sense.5 points

The ongoing disrespect/disregard for law enforcement. I just don't get it No matter what the circumstance is, stop like a gentleman, let law enforcement do their job and if you're not doing anything wrong you should be on your merry way shortly, if you are doing something wrong pay the mother-effing consequences/fines etc. Unfortunately, this officer now has to lose time from work, pay out of pocket medical expenses, etc. All because some douche decided to try and get away. Rant over....thanks4 points

You don't worry about how she was raised. We are extremely close. She is aces as far as any 20 year olds I know. 3.9 in a very hard major and still loves to spend time with Mom and Dad. I know things like manners, personal responsibility and hard work are foreign to you. I would bet you don't see and issue letting a your kids spend time under the crack mentors on your street for career tips and that would seem perfectly acceptable you.3 points

One of my nephews had a match grade M1-A, which is the semi-auto only version of the M14.. He was attending college at the time and did not have a good place to keep it, so it lived at my house for a couple of years, along with 500 rounds of ammo and the invitation for me to shoot it whenever I wanted.. I didn't shoot it very much, because I didn't want to take advantage, but it sure was fun when I did. Eventually, he took it back...<sigh>.....3 points

America was found on Freedom of Religion. The Freedom to Practice it without fear of persecution, Not use it to Persecute others. Its shocking to see people not learn from the past. Un- American No Pro American Yes since when has it become Shocking to be American. It may not be Political Correct, it may be Anti Obama, but Un American NO. Carry On3 points

My package from Midway came yesterday. I laid out the parts & rubbed a little Minwax Antique Oil Finish into the wood to highlight the grain. It will look even better when it is sanded smooth & finished, but this gives an idea of the amount of fiddleback in the Black Walnut. A different angle. I've been working hard to get my gun building bench & R/C aircraft hanger into shape over the last week. I'm having foot surgery on the 24th & will have to stay off the foot completely for 6 weeks. Crutches & a "knee walker"! I'll have lots of arse time to spend at the benches building.3 points

Obama would not connect religion to the terrorist. He did call them Terrorists but fails to connect the facts. Ignoring the true enemy only makes it harder to fight them. The radical's are praying on our weakness of protection of Religion and political correctness. The weakling in chief is standing in the way of solving the problem, his advisors advise and he does the opposite. Its already here in America and we need to wake up and address the problem fast.3 points

The main reason I'm in this thread is that you asked a question, and I knew the answer. The thread popped up in my "Recent Topics" feed. And... I'm a helpful kind of guy. I knew the answer because I run a legislative information and intelligence service based in Albany. I live across the Hudson River in Rensselaer County. In my experience it is difficult to learn who is running for state office when district lines are contained within a individual county. The State Board of Elections does not make that information available on their website because they consider it a local election, even though the candidate is running for state office. Some "local" boards of election do not make this information readily available on their websites, which is both ridiculous and time consuming for the voter. District maps are fine, but it's who wants to sit in that seat that really matters. This, in my opinion, is an area that can easily be improved upon and should be without delay. But this is beside the point of this thread... Are there any NYC-based hunting organizations? Basically, people who are already grouped in numbers that would sign letters to legislators... I'm in the dark on that front... I don't know that I can help beyond basic info here, but when I can, I do help. Good luck...3 points

So I haven't had much time this winter to get out and do much. Did zero small game or predator hunting. I did get out once so far for shed hunting. Did a quick once over of our food plots and some of the major trails near the thick stuff. Found a decent 4 point shed from one of the local 2 year olds smack in the middle of one of the WR plots.3 points

Expresso, you are delusional in your thinking. Other police officers have been critical of the tactics used in the video. Not knowing your background I won't speculate that you know any more or less than the police that have given their prospective. They have said the road block was deliberately designed to hurt those in the truck. Finnicum had no idea what was lying ahead, but the cops that originally stopped them did, and made no mention of it. Shots fired were not reported and worse, covered up by other officers on the scene. Which shows they knew they did something wrong. Furthermore, your stupid comparison to minorities who've fathered many children as Finnicum did, in some sort of stereotypical analogy to try and show he isn't a loving father, reeks of bigotry. I see a human being standing up peacfully for the constitution. Who was murdered by a government that wanted to make an example out of him to show any others that might be thinking of challenging the government. I guess you see a deadbeat father, reckless with no regard for human life that wanted to kill cops and got everything he had coming to him. Like I said, Delusional!3 points

I couldn't resist today and went shed hunting for 2 hours. I found sheds #16 and #17 for the year and a matching side to one of the antlers I found 3 weeks ago. I knew there were at least 2 great bucks in there and I've found 3 of their antlers so far, I'll be a happy man if I can find that last side... One was a fighter, broke his brow completely off one antler and his whole main beam beyond his G-2 on the other side. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk2 points

I think the point I'm making on elections is that a Board of Elections is an official, taxpayer funded location for all administration of and information on state and local elections. I shouldn't have to use a search engine to learn about who is running for an election. As a voter, that information could and should be readily available on a board of elections website, be it local or state. A board of elections should be one of the first links offered in any search for a state/local election. In my line of work, I need official documents as well as the information contained within, and I don't think it is too much to ask of our government to make that information readily available to all. Anywho... Here is the link to the login page for the service I run: http://www.nystatewatch.com/ Best of luck in organizing!2 points

Not surprisingly, I spoke to soon...........I stopped at the Town Of Amherst today and the guy said "no dice". I said WTH man? Turns out they stopped the darn program a month ago. The Man said that they will pick it up in front of my house on my garbage day, March 30th. Put it to the curb and they'll snag it. He said that they had too many people bringing them from all over the county and they couldn't handle them all; they were overwhelmed!! Soooo, now my wife is just thrilled that we have to look at the heap-o-garbage on the side of the house for a week until NEXT Wednesday. One other thing the guy said was that he was told Best Buy would take it but they charged $15 I have no regrets, I'd do it again if'n I spot one in the ditch and the stars are lined up.2 points

My seven yr old and I have logged some miles. We started back in Jan at our local non hunting park. We had transisioned from the brushy field into the hardwoods. We always spread out while walking and im always way ahead as he is easally distrcted. Anyways im way ahead and i hear him yell dad i found a deer, keeps repeating it as im walikng back. I walk up to him not seeing anything and say where, he points right infront of me, wow sweet find! Not sure what happened to him but my son was super exited, the next morning he said he dreamed about it. Last sunday morning he said he wanted to shed hunt behind great great grams house. We took a quick walk and he's dying to find a shed on his own. So I'm walking thru some brush and I see one, I call him over telling him this looks like a good spot ( I want him to find it) I sent him past it like for time, each walking right by it, finally I say stop and look around, he didn't find it first but non the less happy. This am he wanted my wife to tag along at the park. She has never really even looked before but she found one. Not long after I heard my son make a excited noise and see him bend over and pick up his first on his own horn, a shinny 2pt and boy was he excited. I had a goose egg. I cant get this to post pic between each story so they are in order of story, except the first two are reversed.2 points

The below steps are only for those that like me live in Monroe County NY. But the principles apply to everyone. Simply just knowing the actual property maps not only ensure that you stay legal when hunting, but also that you stay in the right and you don't upset people. But I have also found that people think they own property they don't. This is when having a print out of the tax map in your truck with your permission slips really comes in handy. I also take screenshots of the tax map and load them onto my Garmin Alpha so I know when my hounds are about to leave the property and I can turn them around. Open the Monroe County Parcel Viewer This step is optional but I really like it. Click the icon in the lower left of the map. This will expand to three options Community 2015 Aerial 2012 Aerial Click 2015 Ariel and wait for the aerial overview to load (it will not load if you're not zoomed in enough). This is really cool because you can see right down to the tree where the property line is In the upper right click the tools menu and then the zoom in option Click and hold about where in the county you want to see and drag the mouse over the area creating a box. Continue to do this until the aerial overview loads and you can see all the property lines. Generally so that about 1 mile covers your screen You can move around the by click the tools icon again (so that it says tools and not zoom in) and then clicking the center of the map and dragging it around Once you have located the property that you want to view click and hold it The property should turn yellow and the pane on the left will populate with information (you might need to click additional information in the popup) Highlight and copy the PT_KEY Open a new tab and go to the Monroe County Real Property Portal Paste the PT_KEY into the Parcel ID box and click search Some general information will display Click "Pay Property Taxes" (green button) in the upper right This will open a new tab that will display the legal owner of the property and their mailing address I find this really helpful when searching for new places to hunt. Then I can go right to the owner and get permission. I like this because often times that is not who posts the property or "controls" it. I have found that often times farm workers have claimed hunting in certain areas but the farmers will let you out. The workers won't. But when you get it in writing from the farmer they can't kick you off. I hope this helps someone!!! Play around with it and have fun.1 point

I saw the picture I posted in the 1st post on the website and it was marked down for clearance. It has a little bit of a gap @ the back of the rear receiver ring & it is channeled for a military barrel. All of that can be filled W/color matched glas & it won't be obvious unless on is looking very closely & looking for it specifically. The bottom metal opening is perfect & that is the hard one to fill. I'll have the chamber area of the barrel exterior turned to duplicate the military profile anyway. Since I had an intermediate length M98 action stashed, I scraped up the $$$ & bought it for a future project. I'm getting to the point where I need to get these rifles built while I can still enjoy them.1 point

Aside from taking him in and having a bow fitted, I have to agree go with the Infinite Edge. You get a lot more bow then what the price suggests. The only things people say bad about them is the back wall is a bit soft, and you may want to get a better rest then what comes with the package. Wal-Mart has the Pro Package version starting at around $300 if you are willing to order it.1 point

You can do so now if you're travelling by yourself or a small group. Friends of mine have gone already. They flew down to Miami then hopped on a ferry to Havana ($300 round trip). While tourism isn't open yet, you can now enter Cuba for other reasons. One of my friend said that he is an art student and he is going to study the local Cuban art. No proof was asked. They let him in. The other said that he's in IT and is surveying the infrastructure for potential future opportunities. Again, no proof was asked simply because they really don't care and they let them in. Major hotels are not up yet but the AirBnB is already booming. $30 a night with super friendly hosts. Currently you can bring back cigars only if it's less than $100 worth in value and only "personal consumption".1 point

One year the whole gang was at camp and the SIL had flown up from Alabama...her shot gun went "Missing" at the airport...So I lent her my browning and I barrowed one of the guys Ithicas both 20ga...Well the guys decided to drive to us girls my SIL went to gramps apple tree stand and I went to the beech / oaks to stand...I backed my self up into a group of young beech...When I heard a snap... I'm left handed...and just to my left and out about 40 yards stands 15 or so deer...WTH I had backed into these saplings and now I have to step out and swing to get off a shot. This with 30 eyeballsand ears to beat...Plus I'm concerned about where the drivers are...Well they start moving off father to my left and I make my move...I take one large step out as I shoulder the gun and turn...I had my eye on the biggest doe in the groups as I did...BANG...Holy cow it was like shooting the break in poole.... Deer going every which way!...I thought for sure I'd missed but some where headed back past me and toward the SIL...I took two shots basically at beech trees just to keep them going and still worried about where the guys were...WHY I Hate DRIVES!... Next thing I know I hear her shoot once... well I just stood there waiting for the guys and I'm really depressed...seriuosly upset..how could I have missed! they asked what happened and then SIL showed up...... said she had two big doe stop 100yrds out infront of her and she shot but both disappeared....now we were all out near the road for thats where we were on stand..road to our backs...we looked for blood and there was none...I felt like quiting right then and there...When the mail truck backed up and the mail man yelled out...Hey we have a dead deer here!...she never made it 50yrds and dropped in a ditch...It was the big doe I was aiming at...I looked at the SIL and said You best go look again...her and one of the guys went and they dragged back another big doe. That was my special dilivery deer...from what I told the guys and no blood where we had looked...we would never have gone that way and found her...SIL assumed that open site with a gun she had never used at 100yrds...no way she hit that doe...1 point
