I'll roost sat evening. Though I'm sure they will be in their normal roost areas. I can narrow it down to 50 yards or so roosting the night before instead of 100 to 150 yards.

I got a head start by hunting youth season so I will be watching from the road with bino's.

Nada. Youth hunting last Saturday, no action. Sunday we had 2 birds at 200 yards displaying for 45 minutes but couldn't coax them in any closer. Tipped over 13 birds from my tree. Hoping for the best. Perhaps a double for daughter and I. That's my hunting fantasy at least. I'd give anything for that double though

I have about 75 percent success the next morning if I can roost bird night before.. key is tonreally.listen and not over call to shock them ,locator calls only, and sparingly

I've been out every morning at 5:00 for the past 2 weeks.  1 bird has been in the same spot and headed to the same field all but 2 of those days.  We'll see what happens!

I will try to roost a couple saturday night. But opening weekend our hill is packed with guys and gals. So i usually have to hold tight. We got some guys that think they own the whole hill , and if nothing is working on their side. They go where they want and will cut off a bird that may be working in our favor.. gotta love these turds.. Ill be Trying to get my fiance her first bird ever sunday morning. We will sit on the "Murder plot" with a couple feeding hen decoys and soft calls sparringly. They normally roost either side of us about 300 yards away... Good luck to all

No scouting here this Saturday. Leaving the woods alone until Monday actually.

100% chance of rain Sunday. Not entirely pleased. Hopefully birds hit field mode and rely on sight as rain will dampen their hearing for predators. Sounds good on paper.

Ugh wife tells me last week we have a wedding on Saturday, I mean who the hell gets married the day before opening day!!!!!  Bad start to a marriage if you ask me.  Good news is my buddy is going up to hopefully roost some birds Saturday night..

Not Saturday, but I've been out a few mornings in the last week to listen and locate. I'll be going with my brother in law on Sunday.

Our turkey numbers are still down. But we do have at least two or three mature gobblers strutting in the fields on the farm property. If it's not pouring rain Sunday, we will set up on the edge of the woods where they are even coming out. No scouting.

Not a single gobble heard or any sightings this morning.

Got one of my blinds moved and feeling pretty good about site selections.

Will be back in it this evening to listen for some "roosters" in case they go silent again in the morning. Will sit past dark just to listen.

Need to haul a couple chairs up there yet tonight and the drip proof tent topper. I have faith in my set ups, but since sis will only be able to hunt the opener and with the forecast looking like crap, I have my concerns.

Just back from my first big scout. Lots of birds on our hill, a bunch of Jakes and at least one nice long-beard observed this evening. Can't wait for the am! Woods hunting is tough though.

Worked today , but don't turkey hunt more then once or twice a year anyways .

Tomorrow a guy from work ( a rival truck company no less ) will hunt my land with his young son .

I,let them have the run of the place .
