No wonder I can't find them. I can't see a shed in that first pic knowing that it is there!

My wife saw a big buck still carrying yesterday

I have been hauling ground litter for two weeks on several locations around the property and mot one shed...Which is usual! I could go to camp and find them...but that's a long drive and Ohhhh so steep and swampy ...I haven't checked the swamp here yet though...there it's usually a skull found..

I had a group of 4 bucks on a cam pic in the back yard from Tuesday. One button, one wide 8 one 6 and one forkhorn. The fork was the only one that had lost an antler yet.

Antlers are as unique as people.  Some big, some small, some wide, some tall, some both, some thick and others not so much.  And not all become Booners - sorry Pygmy! hehehehehe

I came across my first one of the year while scouting. It looks like a drop from last year and I wasn't really looking but it stuck out like a sore thumb in the grass.

Yep- just to the right of the broken stick poking out from the left.

It looks sort of yellowish in color and seems out of place.

My son and buddy of mine put in an hr and half at a large county park yesterday. We saw a million deer but no horns. I did find a cross bow arrow with a field tip on it. Their aint no hunting allowed in this park..crazy, Last yr I found some bird shot shells.

Boo on the deadhead. A 6 we have had pics of for two seasons and one we've seen a few times from the stand.

The 4 pt side still had blood on the pedicle and the beam. Pretty fresh. Looked for the match but no dice.

Didn't even intend to look as I was just swapping batteries in cams and that was all it took.

Woo glad someone started a thread like this.  Going to do some scouting this weekend and take a look for some sheds. I pulled my cameras out 3 weeks ago, so not sure if they are still holding on to their antlers

Out moving cams around this evening when I spotted this suspicious milkweed pod out on the frozen tundra all alone!

 

 

I grabbed ahold to free the poor little fella and yanked my SEASON MAKER from under a foot of snow!
I don't know where the heck this guy came from but he's welcome back any time!
I ain't coming home until I find the mate to this one!

Nice find.  Looks like a 2015 death being so bleached out.  Maybe early season.
