Sometimes pic angles are hard to judge but that deer looks BIG, wonder what it weighed.

Was this his first deer? He looks a lot like a guy I met last night @ field and stream who showed me a pic of his first deer kill from 1-2 nights back. First season bow hunting and a bigger buck than I've ever hit. Not sure if it's the same person.

Well I guess I can take that buck off my list, not worth setting in a stand now since the 1 and only big buck has been taken already. Lol.

I live in Westchester (3S), but hunt Putnam (3N).

 

3S has a lot of big bucks on tiny pieces of private land but you gotta get a good spot. I don’t hunt 3S unfortunately. It’s bow only so bucks get old and big! The NYS record typical is from 3S. Our very own CrappyIce killed a big 3S buck last year I think the biggest bow buck on the forum actually

Lets not jump to any conclusions folks .. I've hunted the Town of Sodus (8F) for past ~15yrs and ain't seen no buck close to that behemoth! I wish..!

Very nice buck and esp so early in the season!
