518BowSlayer
this will be my 2nd year doing taxidermy and I would like to offer my services to anyone on this forum who's in or around the capital region. I'll do deer shoulder mounts for $150. I need more practice so as long as I break even on the form and materials I'm happy. Please don't expect master quality work as I am still a beginner, but I will do my very best. Last year I did 7 deer (2 of which were from forum members), 1 coyote, 1 moose and a few fish. I've done a few turkey fan mounts too. Thank you and good luck this season Edited August 13, 2020 by 518BowSlayer

WNY Bowhunter
Dang, you must be tanning your own capes? It costs be around $225 in supplies just to mount my own deer...

Bolt action
Good looking mounts! If I score a nice one this year, that offer would be worth the drive from Rochester.

I tan my own deer hides so pretty quick, just need to get a day off to mount it then it has to dry for 2 weeks. I would say 6 weeks tops
WNY Bowhunter
I started off the same way my first year back in 2015...mounting 6 deer for family/friends for material cost. Now, after mounting up 100+ deer over the past 4 seasons it's amazing looking back and seeing how the quality progresses, especially when learning everything on your own. I cringe every time I see a pic of a mount I did during the first couple years...lol. Keep it up!!!
mowin
I'm very happy with the 4pt he did for me. It was my grandnephews first buck.

That was one of the first places I went to that had a ton of fancy beers (but no high life?!?). Can’t remember the name of the “club” in Troy that was our Thursday night college standard. Moho81
I can't wait to see the progression from last year to this year. Like @WNY Bowhunter said this is how he started out and in a few short years he's turning out pieces of art!
ApexerER
They look great to me! I'm in Saratoga. At that price it might even be worth getting a doe on the wall.....Hopefully I'll be looking you up this fall!
