Sitting on the ground in my public land spot. Thick in here, hopefully the big buck I spooked last year comes back. I need redemption...

Can't wait until Saturday morning and can get to my other spot in my home town...

I just had to repel black furry boarders.  Walking out.

Phone is dying, I'll upload pictures later but: 4 black bears came in around 6, and we're going "nuts" on hickory nuts 20 yards away from me.  Watching this for about 20, got a cool pic of one up 20 feet. But then it occurs to me I'm in a hickory tree.  Sure enough, here comes one and starts climbing!  So I rack one in the 10 mil, and it retreats.  I had to yell at em to get them to leave.

Well, not the greatest sit. I'm in 1.3 miles and damn near get attacked by a german Shepherd...I'm at full draw on this thing yelling at it then the owner calls it off. He collects his animal and says sorry and walks off. That could have turned out different.
Anyway, I bumped one on the slow walk out and also found several active scrapes, a few fresh rubs several beds too. One active scrapes has some big tracks in it so that's my next target area
