Only female dog I ever was named Lucy.  The males were Timber and Colt.  My buddies dog who is over here all the time is a little female cocker spaniel named Bogey (yea... he’s a big golfer)

Dawg....My dad always told me to use a good simple "call name"....Hence some names for my dogs have been  DAWG, DOC, PETE and GEORGE....I think a good name for a female  would be LULU ....

I never cared much for so called traditional "dog" names like Sport, Fido, Rover etc. My Dogs for the most part get regular "people" names that I happen to like. I tend to choose uncommon ones.

I have a female black lab and her name is Jenny also have her 1/2 brother who is a silver lab named Jake.  My wife thinks I turkey hunt too much but I liked the names.

My sister's first ( of four)  husbands  was a huge Eartha Kitt fan...  He had a female black lab that he named Eartha...

I thought it was a stupid name for a dog back then....Still do, as a matter of fact...Hehehehe...
