Congratulations ....what area? Lots of openings out there due to Covid. I gladly chat with her if she’s thinking about the Westchester area.

As an aside, Broadway Joe’s may serve the best “by the slice” pizza out there....as a full pie, not so much-weird!

General Ed grades 1-6 and then after 5th year special Ed grades 1-6. She completes her 5th year at the end of 2021.

Good educators are in great demand. I spent 33 years teaching Sciences, mostly Chemistry and Environmental Science here in the Finger Lakes. The best advice I could give would be to commit yourself to at least six years. The first 3-5 can be pretty tough and require a commitment of time unlike most professions. It does get better, remember that. Second bit of advice, be involved in activities outside of the classroom. Coaching, leading clubs or arts programs all help form a better connection with the students and community. You’ll enjoy it as much as they enjoy having you helping them. Last thing, (I could go on a long time here) is to limit your social media connections to students and parents and administrators as much as possible. You’re just opening yourself up to a whole lot of problems if you don’t.
I always preferred working in a smaller school/ community as it fits my personality, but that’s just a personal preference.

Best of luck in your future .  It’s gonna be a great adventure!

Thank you all! It was a nice day yesterday but I would of liked being there. She has some offers in the Bronx and will go with that for the time being. Mom is an administrator on Long Island in one of the school districts. Thanks to my friends that asked for her resume that was really nice!  Time marches on and on another good note her boyfriend who graduated yesterday got a great job offer in Westchester! All good! May I say you people are midi fine!
