Got out this morning on the kayak. Had 4 keeper bass until a frickin snapping turtle decided one was his. Try to pull up my stringer and the bastard was locked on. Had to give him a wack with the paddle to let go but I threw the mangled one back in for him. I guess we both won Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk5 points

Also Lou Colliers son also , Andrew Jones son. All three will go top 10 and sign on the mlb dotted line. Draft sure has changed. A junior college 17 year old going top 10 just sounds weird. For you guys with kids going to college soon, if they don't find their spot or receive an offer they like, there are more and more kids finding success at the JC level then transferring or being drafted more then ever. You don't need to play at an elite college to attract eyes these days is my long winded point.2 points

Exactly. It was a half day. Take out travel time, scheduled breaks to rehydrate and check zipties, and the couple of minutes it took to erect the gallows to hang Pence, we're talking about what ... maybe 12 minutes. What's the big deal?2 points

I have heard all the arguments against lead bullets and lead shot, and am not certain that I agree with any of as being significant. I am certain that this bill is just another in a long list of hunter harassment laws that have become so popular in NYS. Many of us hunters have accumulated significant stocks of ammo, some representing many long hours of reloading. The anti hunters and anti-gun forces would like to strip us of any stocks of ammo and have us begin reloading all over again, especially now that ammunition has become scarce, even some of the components. This particular law is nothing more than another way to frustrate people out of the activity of hunting.2 points

I got mine long enough ago that I don't need to pay the $10 Doe tag fee. I bought them for my boys right before they upped the fee and added the Doe tag $10 so they are clear too. The clerk asks for the fee every time(I like going To places to get my tags!) and I remind her I don't need to pay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

But me and @Swamp_bucks have a Pennsylvania bowhunt planned end of October. I will come back for downstate gun. Will have good hunting in Georgia on my buddies property in the satilla river preserve. I'm in rock and a hard spot not expected to be in lol. Life is what it is it's in god's hands now2 points

Would that be considered to be a "high shot capacity assault-crossbow" by our politicians?1 point

So there is a related question that comes to mind. Those that would not shoot a trophy in your lawn, does that thought change at all if we are talking about a food plot? Any problem with shooting a deer that has been lured to a food plot?1 point

He'll never know. After a frustrating season, I walked out my front door on the last day of ML to find a big doe standing 20' away. She froze and I raised the gun, centred it, then lowered. Wasn't the experience I wanted. Kicked myself all day but ultimately came to terms with it.1 point

I think you guys are mistaken if you think everyone on the left has a strong opinion on this topic. I for one could care less what people do with their lives and if they want to be a boy or a girl or something else altogether. You are just highlighting some of the more extreme views and generalize the left = whacko. Great discussion starter and productive...this is sarcasm by the way. Should I post some links to Marjorie Taylor Greenes great ideas about Jewish space lasers etc?1 point

In line, the cashier says to an elderly woman: - Madam, you have to carry your own shopping bags because these plastic bags are not eco-friendly! The old lady apologized and responded: - In my time there was no such "green wave". - This is our problem today, madam. Your generation didn't care enough about the environment. - You're right - the lady replied. Our generation didn't care enough for the environment. Glass bottles of milk, soda and beer used to return to the store. The shop would return them back to the factory, where they were washed and sterilized before using them again and again. We really didn't care about the environment back in the day. We even washed the baby diapers because there were no disposable ones. We dried them ourselves, not in electric dryers. Those diapers were really drying from the wind and sun. We really didn't care about the state of the environment back in our day. Back in our day we only had one TV and one radio in the house, not one TV per room. And the TV had a 14 inch screen, not the size of a stadium, which when it broke, would be thrown out of nowhere. In the kitchen, we had to do everything by hand because there were no electrical appliances to do everything for us. When we mailed something fragile to pack, we used old newspapers, not nylon bubbles and styrofoam balls that take 500 years to decompose. Back in the day we didn’t use petrol lawn mowers to mow the lawn, they were mechanical and we used our muscles to move them. The workouts were amazing and we didn’t have to go to the gym to get fit. You're right, we didn't worry about the environment in our days. We used to drink water straight from the tap, not from the plastic bottles and cups that now fill the oceans. There wasn't really a "green wave" in our days - back then we all got on the tram or bus, boys used bikes or walked to school instead of using their parents as a 24-hour taxi service. So isn't it amazing that the current generation talks so much about "environment", but is unwilling to give anything up and think to live with little like I did back in my day!1 point

Years ago I bought a Savage Model 12 varmint rifle in 223 Rem to hunt woodchucks on the farm. A teacher came around here and there to hunt them. He peaked my interest and got me into it. We had piles of them and they were making a mess of the farm that's mostly hay fields. Numbers dropped off pretty hard after shooting 80+ each year. I still get a small number though. Yesterday I got the first one of the season. A couple more active holes with young ones I think but might have to put a trail cam on the hole to see what their feeding pattern is. Don't seem to be out when I'm there. Gun still shoots lazer beams with Black Hills loaded 60gr Hornady Vmax ammo. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk1 point

I promise to shoot them with you. Legally that means you have to come to CT to shoot them.1 point

Not glocks but 2 more added today. Dad signed them over to me. He hasn’t shot them in years. Pretty easy process. He used an FFL in NY who shipped to mine in CT, then I picked them up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point
