turkeyfeathers
Sent 2 at 20 yards holding off as long as I could before hitting release. I tend to get too slappy and quick.

doebuck1234
I need to forcus more on honing in on shot placement and repeating that shot the most.sharpied a quick vital on the target.3x5 for heart and 6x8 for lung area, seemed to help.time for a new target though!!! Now my question is,does anyone know the true vital dimensions of a deer??i would assume it depends on age etc, just curious.maybe im being to anal about shooting this year but after last years poor shot i dont want to replay that over again this year!!! 2 groups 27 yards.5th shot on both,my arm got a little wonky n went up or down
Moho81
Rushed outside tonight to get some shots in before I couldn’t see anymore. First shot at 35 yards followed up by a couple of groups. After that I shot my first broad heads this season to make sure everything is still ok. Not my best shooting I haven’t gotten the chance to practice much and it shows. Thank You my friend! That was it!! Shooting much better now!! First shot tonight at 20. First shot at 30. First shot at 40 Took a few more shots at 40 and they were all good ones. I haven't had much time to shoot lately, getting stuff done. But lowered the rest just a bit, last time I shot, and that seemed to help. So I resighted the pins and let it go until tonight. And BAM! Confidence is back! Also changed my grip slightly. Now I can just concentrate on shooting this hunting set up every chance I get. Again thanks to Moog, and all you guys that gave advice to help me out. As always, you're the best. Real close to being ready for the season now. And to think, I was contemplating giving up the bow last year....... Edited September 18, 2019 by grampy

Arcade Hunter
Have not shot my bow in close to a week between being busy at work and tweaking my back but today I picked up where I left off. I put the target out without counting paces and estimated 30 yds from my shooting spot, flung two arrows. I paced it off after retrieving my arrows and was at 27 yds.

Swamp_bucks
Finally remembered to take a picture. Top arrow is broadhead at 32 yrds, bottom is at 40 with field point. Feeling really good and confident going into this season. Its been a long time since i felt this good about my equipment. Thumb release i bought last year has helped alot along with the single pin sight i put on it. And alot of the info given out on this thread.

moog5050
Well for everyone’s amusement, I seem to have hit a really bad funk over the last 10 days with the trad gear. I can’t seem to get off the string cleanly which is causing a host of other issues. First 7 shots at 20. Yes I was trying to hit the middle circle. Feeling a little like David Duval when he went from a top golfer to a hack in a year or two. Thinking I need to stop trying for a week or more and hopefully forget what I don’t even know I am doing really wrong. The joy of traditional archery. Frustration!
