Super frustrating.. watched 3 deer working the edge of the bean field toward me about 300 yds out. That edge is also the property line.. they turn into the woods, and I hear BOOM! Another minute later another BOOM.. this opener is turning out to be a bust for me..

Well I moved to a stand on the creek when rain stopped just as I settle in a nice buck rises from his bed and walks away.   He was bedded 60yds across creek on neighbors.   Just the way the season is going.  Still no shots so I guess he avoided neighbors.

Relatively quiet here for an opening day in East 7J, except for the wind and one guy who unloaded his clip in under 5sec, hope he got em.

I'd sure like to thanks my 9 yr old for the lovely cold he gave me. Runny nose and cough are really good for deer hunting!
