In a tree, did not expect to wake up to hunt this a.m. but i behaved myself at a Halloween party enough that thats were i am...didnt however think about the getting light earlier though. Bumped 1 doe on the way in. Goodluck in these windy conditions.

Not live from the woods but it’s the first free minute I’ve had....I made a poor shot on a bruiser around 9:25 yesterday morning.  I left him go till 3pm then went and found him. I’ll type up all the details later on when I can use my computer and not the phone.  
 

He could be my best buck ever.....dressed at 205lbs but last night laying in bed I remembered that after I got the stomach and lower parts out I forgot (my mind was on how in the heck I was going to get him out in daylight) to pull the heart and lungs.

I’m in a spot that shows great sign. Rubs galore, a scrape that has been freshened 3 times (but not today ) and poop/acorns all over. This will be my 4th sit and 6th time in this spot. I have yet to see a deer here. What gives?? Thinkin if I don’t see a deer today I’m moving out of this patch of woods.

Seen 2 doe, and a 6 this morning. 6 was about 25 yards and broadside. Not what I wanted this morning.  

Sat yesterday afternoon and had 9 doe and a fork come by between 4 and 6pm. Had clean shot on 2 does did not draw on either. 

First weekend with movement happening. I have been seeing deer in fields the last few weeks but none in the woods while hunting.  Finally moving in the woods. All the leaves have fallen off the trees in my hunting area now, which in my opinion helps with visibility and movement. 

Seems when the leaves are falling the deer move out of the woods and more into the fields.
