Beards ? Do you grow one for hunting season ?

Use to be a tradition to start a bow hunting beard on Labor Day and wear it until a buck was harvested. Probably the days before face paint became popular or readily available. I also could never get past the ~2 week growth mark, just TOO itchy & (to me) scraggly looking with voids and zebra pattern. So, here's the face I was born with, love it or hate it! LOL

I've had a beard for 37 years now.  Only shaved it off four times during this time.

I've been hiding behind my beard and mustache since the bow season of 1972. I'll probably take it to the grave ..... lol. I suppose if I ever shaved it off, I would have to re-introduce myself to everybody. I don't think I even want to know what's under there. I know there is an extra chin hiding there that wasn't there back in '72.

Haha, hey working in an office in mgt. gotta keep the beard well trimmed. No i dont do curtains, but from the looks of your posts the curtains maybe more up your alley.

No beard for me but perhaps a vintage Rollie Fingers mustache.   That style has to be coming back at some point.

I have only ever grown a beard once during hunting season . Couldn't wait to shave it off . Never liked the feel of a beard .

Used to grow a full beard every year from 10/1 to 3/1 when most hunting was done.  But it comes in completely white now and I don't want someone to shoot me in the face when I'm in the woods.

I keep the beard all year.  When I'm clean shaven I look like I'm 14 years old and can't get anyone to take me seriously at work.

Will stop shaving in a week or two. Won't shave till after the season or I get a buck. No nuzzling with the Mrs. till it comes off. It irritates her face. So hoping buck comes early!  My grandson says he would grow one too, if he could, for good luck!

I used to grow a beard during deer/trapping season's. Now I only grow one if the moods hits me. If I let it grow long enough , it's kind a like a poor man's scarf.

My beard used to have a purpose of serving as facial camo. That doesn't work anymore because it is white now. It actually draws attention in the woods instead of helping me blend in .... lol.

Mine white now also, so no more being a beard in the hunting season. I now use a camo
