MEGA skull score..

I got hooked up with a local taxidermist/ hydro-dipper dude (Bare Naked Mounts) through Facebook last week.

Traded two of my carved skulls for some blank canvases he had.

I got 1fox, 1 bobcat, 2 bear cubs, 1 small buck, 1 wild boar, 12 coyotes, and 60 raw bear claws to do with as I wish.

Oh yeah, I got a big fat shed antler to carve some skull work on for him as well in return.

Needless to say, I was pretty excited and eager to get to work so I got all the coyotes cleaned up and got the bear claws skinned, sealed, and polished. THAT was no easy task!

Then it was time to get some new bits and start grinding away at the new bone pile!

The coyote was just a general design to cover some bullet holes so I just kept repeating the pattern. The webbed buck design came from inside my skull, lol

Great trade for some new blank canvas!  Amazing work from an amazing talent, my friend!  With each new scull you do I'm seeing totally different designs and patterns. It takes a true artists mind and hands to pull these wonderful pieces off. Are any of these beautiful, one of a kind, works of art, on the market? No doubt these would be highly desirable for most any outdoors person to display!

He said that every now and then she would give him a little head...

LOL- I think you have her confused with my taxidermist G/F from Beaverkill NY!

There may have been a few others I'm forgetting about, lol

I sell and trade them all grampy.

I'm gonna have a hard time parting with that boar skull though when it's finally finished. I may never get my hands on another one of those again. The other stuff I'm not really attached to at all.

Yup...That was it....I tried to acknowledge that I was using YOUR material...One of the funniest posts I remember on the forum, in fact...

I love the name of your taxi ( Bare Naked Mounts)....It just has such an APPEALING  sound...

Kinda reminds me of the social club I used to frequent down in Tijuana...Juicy Lucy's House of Pleasure...

I feel bad about getting your hopes up regarding the dental burrs and stuff, Wooly. That box-full I have is somewhere, and no one in my family has claimed responsibility for throwing the stuff out. I'll keep looking. Too many barns, and not enough time. ;-}

 If you'd like I could probably get my hands on some boar skulls the next time I head to Europe. The area my family is from is now over run with Russian Boar and I have no desire to keep more than one boar skull.

Very nice work though!
