The 410 ga is especially well suited as an easy carrying light weight, light recoiling firearm for Rabbit hunting, your little  over and under double looks great Paula. Can't wait to hear some Rabbit hunting tales.

I'm getting the feeling this is more for pheasant hunting and that I can use this. I have been dooped! Lol

.410 is a bit light for pheasants. I have knocked feathers off them at 15 yards on the ground and had them fly away. lol. 3" too

I agree. I only own a 12 with a bird barrel so that's all I know personally, and my group had a few 20's that did real well close to mid depending on choke, but not so stellar at any range. Would have me leery of a 410 for pheasant.

A .410 will get the job done but it will be a challenge for sure, close range and accuracy will be the key.

I have killed many birds with target loads out of 12 and many more with a 20 with standard loads. It doesn't take much to kill a bird, just have to hit them in the head.
