I can imagine it will be a LONG 5 or 6 hours for you.  There is no way I'd have the patience to wait that long to start following up on the deer let alone wait for the deer search dogs.

I knew today would work.

Nothing until 8:10 when this doe walks by then off. 10 min later a nice buck cruising at 100 yards but despite a doe and buck call stopping him a few times he had his eye on something else. This came by again and 30 yards and she ran 50 at the most and down within sight. Rage hypodermic from centerpoint 370.

I SUCK at identifying doe size. Really thought this was a good size doe. Isn’t, but my guy can probably get 25 lbs off her anyway.

Also realized I am a degenerate hunter. I told my wife next deer and my season is done. And yet I am posting this from my stand again 8-)ac2c76a38b7cac0d8f30a52321ae3bda.jpg&key=6a2db46527bd7aca17161e6c080b91ca0d0d68ef2f546dea657d67af65584706

I didn't see a thing this morning in 7j.  My dad saw a small 6pt.  Overall it's been a very slow season is so far and deer activity on my trail cams has slowed over the past couple of weeks.  Usually I have a few random bigger bucks on cam by now, but nada in the past 2 weeks.  Strange.  Heading to a different property for the afternoon.

Got in a tree about 15 - 20 minutes before dawn. Not where I wanted to go but woke up late and didn't want to rush and get sweaty going in and I haven't sat in this one since last now season so I figured what the hell. Pulled a drag line in as well. At about 8 I catch movement to my right near the path I walked in. Thought it was a doe st first as it kept looking behind it until it got about 5 yards from my tree and I saw his little nubs. That was it until this afternoon.

Same with me in 7J Town if Lincoln. My does disappears off camera completely. Get 1 pic every couple days of a small buck late at night. Not sure what’s going on...

It’s hard, but I’d rather do this than bump it and not find it. I saw vultures and crows circling one point about 200 yards from the shot, but in the direction of the shot so I’m hoping that’s him bedded

"We should encourage rifle practice among schoolboys, and indeed among all classes, as well as in the military services by every means in our power. Thus, and not otherwise, may we be able to assist in preserving peace in the world. The first step – in the direction of preparation to avert war if possible, and to be fit for war if it should come – is to teach men to shoot!"

Hey everyone! I'm Louis Backlas, and I'm from Wyoming county N.Y. This past fall I entered the largest deer hunting tournament the hunting industry has ever seen. The Bone Collector North American Whitetail Championships. In this tournament, there was 14 different regions in the United States. Region 1 being New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Winners of each region qualify for a hunt in Kansas at Wicked Outfitters and will have a chance to win $50,000. I was blessed to be the winner for region 1! Pretty Excited here about this! I wanted to invite all of you N.Y hunters to watch my latest video that was uploaded to my YouTube Channel, Cross Over the River Outdoors. In this video, I will take you on the hunt that qualified me for the championships in Kansas coming this September! After watching the video, Please give my YouTube channel a follow and you can also follow me on Instagram and Facebook @ Cross Over the River Outdoors! Send some prayers my way ya'll! Thanks and God Bless!

Hey Everyone! This is Louis Backlas/ Cross Over the River Outdoors. I just posted a new video to my YouTube channel that I though ya'll might get a kick out of! Have you ever used a decoy to hunt whitetails? If you haven't before you might want to start! I woke up one morning and look out my front window only  to find that my 3D deer target was in pieces all over the front lawn! A fired up buck decided to take his frustrations out on the target!  this took place sometime in November during the peek of the rut. Hope ya'll get a kick out of it!
