Only a few early shots in my area this morning. The guys out on the lease behind me had to retrieve a ground blind that they had put up earlier this week but never staked down. It ended up on my hedgerow. 
Buddy just texted me a pic of the coyote he just shot down in Nunda. Another sent me a pic of the nice eight his son shot this morning. Glad someone is seeing deer. It’s certainly not me!

Atta boy ! Just like someone starting benching and they add a few pounds to the bar each week , just keep adding a few yards to each drag .

For the record ,my second buck this year came out in a sled towed by a an ATV, neighbor heard my shot, and he knows when I shoot ,something dies, so he came over . When I drove around to his house ,he loaded it into my truck with his tractor .

I felt dirty ......

No sightings surprise surprise. I'm getting the feeling like this just isn't my year. I'm out for lunch then back in. I'm not going to give up just yet. Good luck to all those who still out and to those going out.

It’s a dangerous slippery slope , what’s next ? Will I start using an elevator instead of the stairs ? Buy a damn riding mower ? Will I have to have my wife open jars and kill bugs for me ?

Saw about 18 of them this am.. all squirrels. Gonna head out of the "deer" woods and get a bite to eat. I'll be back out at 2:00, without the jacket possibly.

It’s was definitely a raw morning, 28 and damp when I got in. I had a group of turkeys fly down and head my way, at least six and all long beards! The does came through a few minutes later and I took the mama

Stayed out til 10:30...not much action in 3G.  Saw 2 does.  Never heard a shot, not even way off in the distance.  Just don't think we got the hunters around that we used to.  Gonna have some left over chicken parm and head back out...or maybe doze off in the easy chair.  ha ha

 Out of the woods at 11 

 No deer . Only had 9 pics on trail cam . Same doe and 2 fawns . Had 6 long beards walk by  this morning and a ton of squirrels.  I'm home cooking off  15blbs of summer sausage. May run up to SIL for afternoon sit.

People in 3M are certainly having a good day. Heard at least 20 shots near by. No movement at all by me. Just damn squirrels

Nice 8 and 7 doe just went by at 40 yards. Too bad I am outside moving firewood and didnt have my gun

Couldn’t find a fresh track this morning,but I did find a bunch of old ones 1/3 up the mountain under the beechnut trees. Also saw a bunch of turkey tracks up there too. Got another mountain picked out for tomorrow morning.

He was there at one time.
Going to try some predator hunting this afternoon.

I saw nothing and the first shot was around 10. Besides the firing range

I’m back at it for afternoon shift

Sat till 9:30 this morn not a thing moving. Took a little walk and jumped one. Moved a double ladder stand to a new spot. Got showers, Fed, fresh clothes and back up at 2:30 out back.
I’m ready to shoot something.

Had a jam in the 30-30 unloaded after first watch. Have the gun half torn apart. Still haven’t figured it out. May be outa commission for the rest season.
