WNY Bowhunter
I just finished up this bruiser, a 6.5 yr old buck that I called "One Eye." The deer first showed up on cam right after season in 2016 as an average 2.5 year old 7pt. He managed to evade hunters until he popped out on the neighbor's cloverfield at the wrong time during the opening week of rifle season. It was a little bittersweet to mount a buck that you have 5 years of history with but didn't end up tagging. Anyways, I think that he turned out really awesome.

WNY Bowhunter
A pictoral history... 2017 at 3.5 yrs old. He apparantly lost his eye between November 3 and 11 that year Only grew one antler in 2018 as a 4 yr old No velvet pics of him in 2019 as his range appearred to have shifted to some beanfields about a mile away. He returned in late November and stayed on cam til shedding in mid January. Once again in 2020 I had very few summer pics of him but he returned in October...

CharlieNY
Kudos to you for mounting him with one good eye and one that he lost as he appeared in life. Many taxidermists like to repair natural flaws in animals that they mount. I believe that mounts should include any naturally occurring flaws or defects the animal possessed in life and should be as realistic as possible. You did a nice job. valoroutdoors.com

You did a nice job. valoroutdoors.com The one thing that kind of sucks about this particular mount is that it's not the original cape. The guy spined the buck and as he was flopping around on the ground he took another shot and blew a chunk out of the base of the antler and the bullet exited out of his ear and totally destroyed it!
