In at 7F RSS stand. Put up a dripper on a apple tree that usually gets a scrape. Pro tip:. Dont leave your grunt call in the same pocket as your doe urine. Your welcome.13 points

First whitetail, bow from stand, double lung. Saw this doe on my trail cam several times. She walked under me last week, but it wasn’t light enough to see the sight or take a shot. Today was a perfect stroll under the stand [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk12 points

Right at 10 I had a shooter buck go by at 45 yards. At least a 2.5 year old maybe an 8 pointer. I’m hoping my Camera picked him up. He stopped for my grunt for a brief second but then walked away. I guess I’m up here for a little bit longer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk6 points

Fun morning. Saw 3 young bucks and 2 doe. One being chased. My buddy a few hundred yds away saw 18 including bucks sparing - no shooters. He was super excited. 1/2 of the traditional scrapes open.5 points

Up and comer chased a doe by me. Reminds me of an 8th grade school dance. She wanted nothing to do with him but he kept chasing. Decent morning.5 points

After first watch took out the bass boat. Prob shoulda hit the river for smallies but went to see if we could stir up some larges on the lake. We tried a bunch of stuff but it was tough. Water was 55 degrees and bass pretty sluggish. I caught one nice 17” on a crank bait and the boy got one just under legal and that ended the boat season for us. Came home and got the boat put up for winter. It was freakin 80 out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Shortest sit of the season for me. I got into my stand at 625 5 minutes later I had a deer 12 yards in front of me to dark to see. Trail cam picked him up a little buck. At 730 I had 5 deer walking through at about 80 yards 5 min later a deer trailing three group of 5. I couldn't tell if they were doe or bucks. Now I'm heading upto greg/gmans place to hangout and hunt with the guys.4 points

Somebody flipped on the rut switch. Already seen 3 bucks this morning. A nice 2.5 yr old 6pt as wide as his ears and tall Then a group of 3 doe being chased by a shooter 8. Chasing back and forth and grunting trailing 2 of them into the pines. Then after that a little 6pt along the creek nose to the ground circling back and forth all over. Plus a doe by herself earlier. Glad I packed in for my first all day sit of the season. Good luck all. Great time to be in the woods.4 points

Well I am 2 for 2 at blowing my chances in the big woods this week, counting the big doe I passed on Sunday with my ML. I bee lined it to my spot, 15 minutes before sunrise, during a light steady rain. When I got to the tree, at first legal light, I deployed the umbrella up high, loaded up and stood below it. It stopped raining right on schedule, around 8, and I set up the tree hammock chair. Minutes ago. I heard a branch snap over the edge of the gully. Gun was in my lap, pointed the right direction, and I gripped it tight. 15 yards away, a high light colored rack, head and neck popped up. I raised my gun quick, but not quick enough to get off a shot as the sure shooter buck turned tail and disappeared down into the gully. So close yet so far. That's why they call it hunting.4 points

Back out...sitting in my brush blind on my cozy beaver pelt. No mosquitoes today!4 points

I am warmed up now, retooled, and in place for what will hopefully be some late afternoon action. Supposedly, there is no chance of rain, so I brought out my father in law's scoped 336 30/30. That ought to increase my odds of getting 150 grains of lead thru the young growth hardwoods that I am in now. This is an area where I have never seen a buck, but have had many encounters with does thru the years, including a couple earlier this week. They like to feed on the abundant acorns and hickory nuts. Based on what I saw this morning, the rut is full on, so if the does come out to feed early, a buck may follow. That's the plan anyhow.3 points

I’m sure those will be giving you years of good service. I’ve had and used the heck out of King Of The Mountain hooded sweatshirt and Bunwarmer pants for almost 30 years. The pants have shrunk (crazy I know) and I just sourced a like new used pair off ebay for a song. My wife hemmed them so I should be good to go for another 30 years. Enjoy your new Woolies in good health.....3 points

In a side ditch on an island in the middle of a 5 acre hay field. I was out voted on where to place this blind by a 12yo and his 9yo yes man brother. Any deer that pops up will be inside 100yds and we almost have a 180 degree field of death so we shall see . . .3 points

Heading into the woods with my new arrow! 100% primitive, right down to my wool loincloth! Hopefully I have a harvest to report later! Good luck!3 points

Figured I’d throw this up, even though I was just over the PA border, that’s my exit hole, and she still went 250 yards or so with a high double lung that hit the bottom of the spine. As least I found out there’s no such thing as a “no mans zone” below the spine.3 points

Sorta just in time. Had a buck cruise past at about 100 yards. Could have been a 4 or a 6 but it was too hard to tell. He was on a mission to go somewhere and was waiting on no one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Sat at 6, has three doe within 20 yards at 630. Sunrise here in PA 727. At 700 I cock his gun and he’s shaking too much, have him rest the gun on the blind softly... nope he makes noise and there gone.2 points

I took a slow still hunt back to the house from my morning hunt, checking out some of the recent sign as I went. One of two scrapes has an ok sized print on it, that looks to be from a 2.5 year old buck. Hopefully, he comes out to play, or gets pushed by my opening day of rifle season location, between 7:30 am and 1:30 pm. I was back at the house for a little more fishing, lunch, and completion of the last of the in-laws fair weather winter-prep tasks. Now, I am settled in for my last 2 hour sit of the early northern ML season. I am back at the power line cut, which is the location up here where I have seen the most afternoon deer sightings, but not a one, when there was no snow. Fat chance of that today, when it is sunny and 75. You never know, and the odds are better here, than back in the house.2 points

Got this 7 point last night. I was planning on holding out for the rut, but plans changed. Lost my Father in law suddenly on Wednesday. Only 73. My wife and him were best friends. From watching the bills every week, to constantly working on her 1974 VW bug, they were inseparable. She is devastated. So, I took the week off and spent it with her. Dealing with funeral plans, and family, and just letting her lean on me. She pushed me out the door to hunt last night for a few hours. She said I needed to do something for me, and take a breather. When this guy gave me a shot, I didn't hesitate. Thankful to have him. I don't plan on hunting much for the near future. Dad's are huge shoes to fill. I can't even come close, but I want to spend as much time with her as I can. Here I sit watching the bills, and I hate football.2 points
