I'm working on mine right now.  I'm making an old 2 person treestand into a spot to sit in my hunt and fish room.

My hunting buddy made a deer drag cart out of a pool ladder.  Lol.

I'm betting there is some winners out there from this crew......

Will post pics when I am done with it, but it's gonna be a while.

Lifted a lawn mower when I was single digits old with my dad....it was fun for us, we always tinkered on things with wheels, and a motor.

Had a blast with it.  Unbolted the transaxle, and used longer bolrs, with big nuts to stack inbetween the mounting surfaces, so essentially it was a lift block.   Front has a big pin, the axle can pivot to keep the front tires on the ground, on uneven terrain.  So we built a heavy duty plate, that was longer, to drop the front end down, so it raised the tractor up, same 5" or so the rear was raised.  We had to modify the drag link for steering, it was useless due to the angle.  I think we had to raise a belt pully up as well, been so long ago.  The little front axles, where you slide the front wheels on were extended in length, for use of rear wheels, and tires off an old Yard Machines tractor.  We used big heavy duty bolts, this way a large washer, and lock nut could fasten the wheels on.

Projects like this really helped me become a great driver in life, i puy so many miles on that thing on the acre we lived on, that there were 2 parralel lines around the wood line, I even made trails through the woods between the neighbor.  I had go karts, we built, all kinds of stuff,  but we always rebuilt them, they always needed work.  This is also why we have issues in this country! Not much bonding like this, or in equivalents to things like this, but i wont derail a fun topic.  I used to tear up the yard,  and dads friends would say things along the lines of, "doesnt that aggravate you that hes trashing your lawn?" My dad would say something along the lines of "no, it will grow back, but at least i know hes not doing drugs on a stoop, or getting into trouble".  That lawn mower taught me to back up trailers faster, and better than a lot of people can drive forward, NOT cocky, simple restating what coworkers tell me.  Things like this go a long ways later in life.

Side note,  now a days across from my dads house, this guy has 11 acres, and a small dirt track with jumps, and the 2 young boys run dirt bikes on it.   The father, came over to see my dad, and was asking if the noise ever bothers him, and how he feels bad, and apologizes.  My dad told him to LET THEM RIDE as much as possible, because later on, I know they wont rob me.  Lol

Old pools, the side of the old aluminum pools make great tin roofing for wood sheds, or tree stands....

My grandpa, in his young days, put a chainsaw, or weedwhacker motor on a bicycle.

Grandpa also had a jig setup to cut branches into firewood, with an old electric motor, to a chain, and circular saw blade from a mill.  A little fuzzy on that setup from the story i heard.

I elevated a small shooting shack on a stack of tractor tires.  I bolted them together, then bolted the shack's frame to the top tire.  My brother called it the "bouncy house".  I added 4 posts on the corners of the frame, and that stabilized the whole thing.  Never shot anything out of it, but it was a fun project.

I am planning to make a deer blind  out of an outhouse...

It will serve double duty..You don't have to walk out in the bushes and drop your knickers in the cold when nature calls...

I'll make it a "two- holer" in case I want to hunt with a friend...

Built a chicken plucker out of a old washing machine.

Bird run out of a busted trampoline.

That’s just a couple that come to mind.

I seen that on line, great idea!

My first chicken coop was built using a truck cap.

My deer cart I have was build out of a Walmart cart, you know the carts they use to bring merchandise out to stock shelves, my tenant left it.

A two-story deer blind made from an old construction-type truck cap.   The base platform is a couple feet off the ground with a 3 ft wall across the front and both sides.  The cap is bolted down on the wall.    A second deck is built on the cap's ladder rack, and also has a 3 foot wall on three sides.   That is open on top, for hunting in fair weather conditions.  In foul weather, rain/sleet/snow the lower level is great.  The side doors fold out and up providing added rain protection and the three foot walls make great gun or crossbow rests.  The back is open and the solid end faces the prevailing wind direction.   I made two and have taken most of my deer from them over the last few years.

I made a smoker out of an old refrigerator & hotplates. It worked great for about 10 years. I used to smoke jerky & sausage in it, I kept it in a shed down the bottom of the yard, rigged up with extension cords. One day I came home and found the shed burned 1/2 way to the ground, the hotplate must have shorted out. :heat: Thank God for homeowner's insurance, they bought me a new shed, and I used some of the proceeds to buy a commercial smoker, which I plugged into a real receptacle on the back porch.Haven't had a problem since.
