How big is this bear?

Looks small compared to the bow, 150-165 dressed?  Might be the illusion of how it placed in the picture and how it was taken.  Going say 175-195 dressed.  Final answer, lol.  Again looks like it could be larger but its kind of a strange angel.

Looks a little bigger than the one that was killed in our camp this last spring -130lbs.  Plus it’s had all summer to gain weight.  I will agree with Gman here - 175-180ish.

From another site. Said it was 168lbs. Could be but the bear compared to the size of the bow looks to be small. I think 80-100 lbs?

Upon further review, I'm going to revise my guesstimate and say I haven't a clue.

So hard to really tell in a picture with bears, need and better estimate of feet size, length etc.   Shots from above show the animal as broadside vs this angle.  Feet look similar in size to cams on the bow to me indicating a small animal.   Again his feet are not at the right angle to get a real good idea on size so I could be off.

in spring yes . fall that heavy wet fat adds weight that would not be there but yes i would say small bear.

What was the Pennsylvania girth measurement???

My guess wold be betweem 150 and 175.

Very hard to judge from that pic. And I'm notariously bad at quessing weight from pictures.

Compared to the bow, I say a pretty small bear. As for weight, I'd guess 150'ish', but hard to judge weight from a pic. I bet the pic if printed would only weight a few grams though.

In my younger years before getting married I was poor at guessing females weight at 2am until I had to sneak out the next morning    It might have been the visual chest measurement that put me in that predicament in the first place

Interesting.   I'd bet if the bow wasn't in the picture, most would be guessing a lot higher weight.

130-140lb dressed is my guess. Having killed a couple NY bears I’ll say that makes it about 150lbs heavier than any bear I want to shoot.
