No sightings but atleast I'm alive. I ended up going to 6g because my nephew wanted to go and he only has a 6g tag left. There were a group of like 10 guys up there putting on drives and at one point there was a volly of shots from what sounded like a smaller caliber rifle maybe an AR. Well atleast one of those shots went whizzing by infront of me I could hear the wsshhh. At that point I was more concerned with getting out alive than taking a deer. Anyways that's it for hunting for me today. I'm back at it tomorrow morning. Good luck to those still out and enjoy that turkey.

I spend a couple minutes looking for mine today also, but no luck.  I marked the first blood with a surveyor's ribbon.  That is still there, but no sign of the bolt.  It looks like I will have to offer the kids a reward if they can find it for me in the spring.  I would like to re-sharpen the mechanical broadhead, replace the o-ring, and go for a third buck with it.   


I thought I had a chance to find it today with the heavy winds and leaves moved around.

Well that’s it folks I think I’m going to retire from hunting now.

It’s been a year of firsts for me.

First deer with a bow
First deer with a rifle
And now the best, first deer with my daughter in the stand. A small 6 that she spotted before I did and pointed it out. It’s gonna be hard to top today. She ended up with a bit of adrenaline rush after the deer dropped. It was the best!

Well good day no kills but fun.  Had 3 bucks on the run all missed 2 does one was to far for sitter the other was running at 100mph they said.  All the bucks on different pieces just needed a couple other people we might of had atleast 1 of the bucks.  

Happy thanksgiving and enjoy the time with your families.
