Sat behind my house even though I'm not a huge fan of hunting in an area surrounded by houses. Saw six doe/yearlings, I'm going to wait till December to take a doe back there. It's only about 15 acres of woods but it's all tore up with rubs and scrapes. Next year I should sit out there early November. Might head back to stateland in the a.m. if I can get enough sleep. 

Headed to my cabin after work Friday, I haven't been shutout since I bought it five years ago. There should be fresh snow so I might track instead of freezing 20 feet up a tree.

Went out in a blind with my 12 yr old son tonight. We saw a flock of turkeys and then 7 does and fawns at last light.

Got me another one! Big ol nanny doe. 4 came in at 425. I bumped the other deer towards my wife but somehow they skirted around. Tomorrow is another day. That picture doesn’t do her justice, one of the bigger doe i have taken in many years.

Beautiful area with plenty of old rubs just didn’t see anything.

I’m not sure, but I’m thinking of giving it a shot in the spring. There where a bunch of little pools and under cuts.

Whoohoo!!! My lifelong hunting partner Gary got one down this afternoon! Was running a doe and grunting. We have both been holding out for the better bucks we know are here. Been hunting hard for sure. Finally got one. I'm on deck this weekend.

Pretty stoked ! Got my buck back   52.2 pounds of clean well wrapped venison. Excited for 7 pounds of the bacon too. No matter what I shot taking to the buck n doe shop and usually pretty big I got back 37-42 pounds. 52.2 pounds and found my new processor. Ty Gman for being so gracious to allow myself and Samantha to hunt your place and recommendation to my new place to get processed .

Just curious- do you know what your buck weighed? 52 seems light unless your buck was way lighter than it looked.
